    Q. What happens if every father takes their children into HoC?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

As 2021 draws to a close with Labour still out of power, we have to say thanks to the self-confessed "morons" who gave us a chance to vote Jezza into leadership and mess up their chances :)

"David Lammy says he made a mistake nominating Jeremy Corbyn for Labour leader
The shadow foreign secretary, said he 'never believed' Mr Corbyn would win the contest and regretted helping him to the position

Shadow Cabinet minister David Lammy has apologised for nominating Jeremy Corbyn to be Labour leader six years ago, saying it was "a mistake and I am sorry for that".

Mr Lammy, the shadow foreign secretary, said he “never believed” Mr Corbyn would become leader and said he regretted being one of the 35 Labour MPs who helped propel Mr Corbyn from the political wilderness to the top of the party in 2015.

Mr Lammy is not the first senior Labour figure to express regret about nominating the left-winger to be leader. Before the contest had even finished in 2015, party grandee Dame Margaret Beckett admitted she had been a "moron" to help put Mr Corbyn on the ballot paper."

Interesting stuff about the Labour MP who received a large donation from a Chinese spy - it also appears that the Labour party itself and Ed Davey also received donations from her.

I listened to Barry Gardiner on LBC Iain Dale last night. The bloke had the guts to go on the show and answer all the questions fired at him from the public. They pretty much all gave him credit for doing this.

Weren't they also pictured with Cameron amongst others? You might want to be cautious in case it wasn't only Labour politicians that received donations!

Cameron and Osborne were briefly best mates with Xi, so, ahem, glass houses.

They're not throwing stones as far as I know.

Also let's not forget John McDonnell who seemed to be good mates with Chairman Mao.

Credit where it's due for actually admitting culpability and not lying about it but he was always completely inept and out of his depth.

As I keep banging on about, the fact it came down to a choice between Corbyn and Johnson shows the abject state of British politics.

the Tories have accepted (and continue to accept) a lot of dodgy money, in particular from Russians. I would be very surprised if they make a big thing of it.

Nothing people on the right like more than some leftist hypocrisy or links to commies, so this ticks both boxes.

The hypocrisy helps them feel better about their less savoury behaviour, as "everyone else is at it, we're just more honest about it".

OK, so you're saying we should just let this one go because others have made similar 'errors of judgment' etc?

more cynically I would say they want the focus groups to say "they are all at it/as bad as one another"

I have stated my view before that I think the whole system of political funding and elevation to the 2nd chamber is designed to encourage and reward bribery and corruption
