Just a shame it took having to go past the point of no return and see Project Fear start becoming a reality for them to change their minds0

I'm only putting this here as it's a somewhat more brutal analogy than my oft-repeated amputation one. Well, and he articulates my residual anger and sadness about the whole débâcle quite well.

Verhofstadt has also just trumped quite a few Cake Stoppers in terms of claims of what problems Brexit caused. Beat thisbriantrumpet said:Top trolling, even if it's not gonna happen...

Here's Wrecker Frost's list of Brexit benefits... as they are so fantastic, I wonder why he's disabled comments?

The tables are turned: in 2016, the status quo was the boring option, and Brexit was the sexy thing that promised untold wealth and unicorns; now we know that Brexit is indeed worse than the flawed and boring pre-Brexit status quo, Brejoin could be the exciting remedy, now we know that none of the promised unicorns are going to turn up. All we've got, magically, is unicorn shït.0 -
Okay, I'll drop in here again in a few months to see how the 'Dead thread walking' is getting on"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

I'll put a note in the diary, and if you drop in before, I'll alert the authorities, as I'll assume you've been hacked, or your body taken over by aliens.0 -
I remember early on I was banging about the drop in investment since 2016 and how that would be felt down the road in lower productivity.
Am pretty f@cking annoyed I was bang on.0 -

That's the overriding sentiment from Remainers who can be bothered to keep making noises, along with sadness that it's come to this. None of that anti-UK "rejoicing at the clusterf" that we were told we would be doing.0 -

When you actually look at the word cloud, this is quite a damning verdict Frost has shared.

The reality is that our very evident problems are ours to solve. We need public service reform, better energy policy, a credible immigration policy, better house-building policy and tax and spending to start coming down. Getting these right is in our own hands.

Yeah none of that is related to Brexit.TheBigBean said:

He really is the most annoying of them all, because he warned before the vote about all the things that would happen in the negotiations, then acted surprised by them.0

Brexit may be getting closer to being done

Nah come on. The guy is wanging on about things that are nothing to do with the relationship with the EU.TheBigBean said:Think that has been done ad nauseam
The feedback from the UK corporate world is crystal clear. They don't care anywhere as much about the substance of the laws, within reason, as they care that they are consistent and not subject to uncertainty or abrupt change, and when it comes to standards, they want as few different standards as possible (for easier...wait for it...standardisation), so British differentialism is a pain, not a boon.
One thing about the EU process is because there are so many stakeholders, it takes forever to make changes and those changes are heavily flagged ahead of time. This makes business planning a lot easier.
So I will ask again, what does he think needs to be done re Brexit? Because building houses is nothing to do with Brexit. Nor does public service reform, nor is tax and spend. Nor is a "credible immigration policy" as, plainly, the issue of people turning up on dingys isn't related to the UK's membership of the EU, as it's got worse since Brexit happened.
