London still most "magnetic city".

Apparently #Timeisrunningout is a government slogan and not some metropolitan liberal elite campaign to thwart brexit.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0

Now 95% sure the deal will get done.

Though within your 5% failure margin there is Boris Johnson...0 -
Perhaps, but a deal where an independent panel decides if either side has materially undercut the other seems like a decent starting point for any trade deal. Particularly one that starts the same and is diverging. Gives me good hope that standards will increase in the UK.tailwindhome said:

Shame it has taken quite so long to get to a vaguely sensible position so everything is going to be rushed.
Is 5% the pesky fish?

That's quite a good joke, whether you intended it or not.0 -
I thought remoaners on here were stupid and bitter, but even this one has managed to lower the stupidity bar way more than you could ever imagine
First, he went out and purchased all copies of the Sunday Telegraph and Mail on Sunday from one shop. He paid £103 for his effort
That is not how stupid he could get, he purchased these from a CO OP in that famous Brexit area of Bristol
But that is not the bottom of the stupidity, it gets worse, just two shops down is a Tesco Express so anyone who wanted to purchase said newspaper would have had a 30 second walk along the road.
All he has done with this effort of stupidity has increased the circulation of said newspapers from the shop, increased their profits, and none will be returned at the end of the day. Next week they will automatically order more copies in to meet demand and thus if he tries the stunt next week it will cost him more money
There is no absolutely Leave voter who is as stupid or idiotic as this remoaner. I glad this is the sort of person and stupidity that is on the remoan side
@sungod Were you in Bristol around 07:15 on Sunday morning?-2 -
Are you claiming no leave voter has done something that costs them over £100 for no discernible benefit?0

In my experience of contracts and negotiations it has proven that even 1% can trump 99%. It ain't over till the ink is dry and even then not worth the paper it is on.tailwindhome said:

Interesting from Andrew Neil.
Worth pointing on that if you had a message grid to sell the agreement on sovereignty /future tariffs, Andrew Neil talking to Mail readers would be a huge win

I imagine that fewer than 1% of the country understand the debate so the rest will chose, or not, to believe whatever bollox Boris tells them.tailwindhome said:Interesting from Andrew Neil.

The only audience that matters are the nutters sat behind him, if they force a leadership election he is probably a gonner0 -

Even MPs talk about import tariffs being paid by the importers and not the consumers.surrey_commuter said:

Amusing that the lorry park in Kent won't be ready for 1 January, because of heavy rain, so they are switching the operation to a location called 'Waterbrook'. What could possibly go wrong?

Could be both good & bad news...
Interesting comments of FoM underneathWe're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

For reasons I can’t remember the deadline was always July so there was time for ratification. Does that mean we are already in the land of no deal and compromises are still being sought to keep things ticking over until everything is ratifiedddraver said:Could be both good & bad news...
