L'equipe reporting that Bernaudeau has a new sponsor - as yet unnamed- and Chavanel's signature.
Given how long this has been dragging on, I'll wait until an official announcement before buying it.
A bit more here in today's Ouest-France

Chavanel " I want to finish my career in this team, in the Vendée, these are my roots"0 -
Meintjes signs a two year contract with Lampre  and more
"I'm really excited to be taking this step up to the WorldTour level with team Lampre-Merida for the next two seasons," Meintjes said in statement that was first sent to Cyclingnews this morning.
"I think it will bring with it lots of new opportunities and the possibility to learn from a very experienced team. One of the reasons I decided on going to an Italian based team is because Italy has become my home away from home."
"Motivation is super high and can't wait for 2016, also for trying to give satisfactions to Lampre-Merida, to the team manager Brent Copeland and to Giuseppe Saronni, to Galbusera family from Lampre company and to Merida company: they demonstrated high confidence in my qualities."Contador is the Greatest0 -
I must admit that surprised me. A good signing for Lampre but will they don't really have a good track record in developing young riders.0

Offredo:
"I'm still in contract with FDJ because I signed a new two-year contract last year. However I had a discussion with Marc Madiot and I told him that I wanted to leave the team because I wanted to discover something new. After my ban two years ago it was a really hard period for me. The team were a little responsible for that ban and I've been where I am for eight years. I have good relationship with my manager though. Maybe something like Garmin or MTN because I needed a new project and a new motivation. Marc Madiot has agreed to my request. If I don't have another opportunity then I'll stay with FDJ. I don't want to stop cycling so if nothing comes, then I will stay with FDJ next year. This is just about trying to find a team with another culture."Contador is the Greatest0 -

Bret Copeland... Also, are MTN about to turn towards being an even more sprint oriented team? Rumour is that Kudus heads to Movistar0 -

Kudus has some serious talent but somehow seems lost in that team. I suspect if he had another team to properly take care of him he would be flying consistently.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Seems like everybody's got a price, I think he'll sleep well tonight
When the sale comes first and the truth comes second
Just stop, for a minute and, smile
Why is everybody so serious, acting so damn mysterious
Got your shades on your eyes and your cleats set high
Then later I ll have a good time
Everybody look to their left
Watch the moto on the right
Can you see that? Yeah
Sagan's paying with blood tonight
It's all about the money, money, money
he just want your money, money, money
No body in the world tour
Forgets about the price tag
Its all about the, uh, cha-ching cha-ching
It's all about Mike, ba-bling ba-bling
Nobody in the world tour
Forgets about the Price TagWe're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

In what way were FDJ "a little responsible"? I'm unfamiliar with the story.0 -
I think it was because the team added a race to his schedule at the last minute and he had put that his whereabouts was at home.Contador is the Greatest0

He was done for Whereabouts violation - 3 strikes, ADRV. He claimed (and FDJ didnt deny) that the 3rd one came about as a result of the team sending him to a race at the last minute, and that it was usually the responsibility of FDJ to sort out the appropriate change but they failed to do so in his case. He got a 1 year ban when he could have been handed a 2 year one.
Stupid really. If I were an elite athlete (as if), I wouldn't want to put my reliance on anyone else looking after the accuracy of my Whereabouts updates. The stakes are too high. Mind you, he'd already failed two in the 18 month period, so it wasnt exactly high up on his To Do list at the best of times0 -

5 wins in the Giro this year, decent set of results this year (as at 5 Aug). I have this feeling that Lampre under Copeland are on their way up... still disappointed in the move as I like the Qhubeka idea and had hoped they'd keep hold of Meinjes. But like with Colombia it's a struggle to keep hold of the really good riders (note Chavez, Atapuma et al are all ex-Team Colombia)

^graphs!
Nothing like enough graphs around these here parts these days
On another topic, I'm about to have a massive rant about something....xx minute warning...0 -

It certainly is a struggle when repeatedly Team Colombia riders are not getting paid (but no worries, dear Claudio Corti is certainly getting his money. That man is a freaking disgrace)0 -

He filled in his whereabuouts on the ADAMS system when he knew his racing schedule. FdJ called him into a chipper at the last minute so he headed off to the race on the understanding that the team would update his whereabouts details. They didn't, the testers turned up at his old whereabouts and he got his third missed test and a ban. Ban was reduced to one year as he was at a race and available for testing rather than AWOL.
edit: I see RR had already answered more eloquently than I.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -

Bernaudeau says he's got several options with four looking more promising. 2 are French and 1 is English.
It amazes me that there are not more French sponsors to be honest. He only wants 5-6 mil for goodness sakes!
He has has applied for his 2016 licence but i don't know how this works with no main backer.
Coquard said he refused a better offer from AG2R in order to stay loyal to the team; i don't know if this is still the case.0 -

No Jon Mould? They will need all the help they can get if they go Pro Conti, and he's one of the better riders on the team.0 -

Yeah. My thoughts too. They're a funny team, not sure what to make of them. Big fan of their DS Matt Winston though0 -
And when do they rope in Porsche to provide the cars?0

2013 - Team UK Youth, team folded
2014 - NFTO, not retained
2015 - One Pro, not retained
Maybe there's a significance to this pattern?0 -

He called out Brian Smith on Twitter this summer over the latter's commentary during the Tour Series, so he's alright in my book0 -

Off to ONE to ride a bit of ProConti action next year, I'd expect
You'd be correct.
With a view to DS in 2-3 years.
Just been publicly confirmed
A month off his 36th birthday. Fine age to step up to ProConti (assuming ONE get their PC licence)0
