Lefevere on the moan in the media as per
That man will go to his death, complaining about all and sundry over Sporza
That dreadful British Cycling insisting on making Cav wear GB kit with Sky branding
So unlike the Belgian track team kit, with Lotto branding...or Aussie, with Jayco and GreenEdge...
If Lefevere doesnt want to pay Cav for time out next year, just dont offer him a new contract. Simple as.
It's appears to be a pretty effective tactic (mouthing off to the press).
I would expect so given his frequent recourse to it0 -

Recent comment by Thomas Voeckler about his and Europcar's future.
Q. We still haven’t yet heard any news from Jean-Rene Bernaudeau or Europcar. Pierre Rolland has said he is leaving and Cyril Gautier’s departure is official. You have said you are not yet ready to retire. Where do you see your future?
TV. "I’ve thought about my future plans but for the moment I’m keeping them to myself. I want to carry on riding. As for a new sponsor (for Europcar) nothing has changed in the past couple of weeks. It is true that it is dragging on, but that does not mean that things are not advancing. Jean-René (Bernaudeau) has meetings planned for the future. The problem is that we are now in the second half of August when nothing much happens. It’s when most businesses are closed for the holidays. That’s the way things are. I have full confidence in Jean-René. There have been difficult periods, especially at the end of 2011, but he’s always got through it, he’s always found something. Yes, Pierre Rolland and Cyril Gautier are leaving. But instead of focussing on their departure, we need to appreciate what they have done for us."

I'd like to see Europcar stay, but to be fair, far more successful teams have struggled for sponsorship and folded (Highroad being the obvious example).0 -

Seems he may be making an announcement tomorrow (Thurs) afternoon. As a replacement for Ryder at Garmindale? He was earlier linked to Lampre.0 -
Garmindale are losing a lot of experience this year and lost a lot in the last couple of years too... Garmin 2.0 begins!"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Lotto told him he wasn't staying straight after the Giro. Relationship has completely broken down. Word was he had to pay for his own altitude training camp and for his physio's hotel rooms through the Giro.
Did win the Belgian TT champs though (snicker)"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Making a young rider pay his own way like that is bad. Shame on Lotto*
