For those of you who have received the light, how much use is the red light? If it's helmet-mounted, isn't the red end just pointing into the sky? And if on the bars, it will be right in your face.

in principle you can turn the red light off but would probably need to read the instructions. As a general rule the red bit will be pointing in the opposite direction to that which you are looking so if you are looking at the front wheel then yes your red end will be pointing at the sky.

I thought about this too, but the rear red light is designed to look the brightest when looked at an angle from below. Check it for yourself and you'll see.

I got the light and am very impressed... charger does not fit but have so many of the things that it does not matter

Uses the same plug as my phone/tablet/Sony camera.

Couldn't see them on Evans site so looked at Wiggle who wanted £2 post so went with High On Bikes on Ebay for 50p less than Wiggle with postage.

BTW my light arrived today too, charged it up after reading the instructions and having a quick play with the light then mounted to my helmet. Although the light can be moved easily when in the cradle it is easy enough to adjust on the fly so no biggie.

  • Also received mine yesterday ;) what made me laugh was that someone is already selling one on the local facebook page for £50 !

And more importantly the offer is still on - http://www.bikeradar.com/blog/article/s ... -70-42068/

    Mine arrived as well!

Cracking light worth the wait I suppose
  • I've got mine now too. Hooray! Cracking light. I've ordered the handlebar mount too but got described as a lighthouse yesterday on my first trip out with it on my helmet.

I like Procycling mag too so win win for me.

I'm tempted to head into Evans and see if they'll pricematch the offer and just sell me the light for £23.99 :D

  • yep mine came too. Seems very bright but light is not as spread out as my power drive with similar lumens. Now need to buy something else from wiggle to get free delivery...

    In the same position :D
  • Got mine yesterday as well. Good light for the money but I find it very heavy on the head. It sits quite high so feels like a pendulum on your head.

Think I will mount mine on the bike somewhere.

Helmet lights are really best suited to offroad rides. I wouldn't use it at anything higher than the lowest setting during road use as I don't want to blind anyone.

Yes, dhope, thanks for all the orders :D

Bought mine off Ebay for £5, 50p less than I would have paid off Wiggle with postage but couldn't fiddle the basket enough to get it to £10.01

Don't attach metal things to helmets. Defeats the purpose of a helmet.

How secure is this in the click mount? Worries me slightly that it could fall out. I think if I use it on helmet, I would get a straight version of the twofish velcro mount. I think that would mean it be less raised possibly too.

Very, light is secure and will move before it dislodges itself
