Just how much commission did you get flogging those lights?!0 -
Surrey Commuter wrote:Bobbygloss wrote:For those of you who have received the light, how much use is the red light? If it's helmet-mounted, isn't the red end just pointing into the sky? And if on the bars, it will be right in your face.
in principle you can turn the red light off but would probably need to read the instructions. As a general rule the red bit will be pointing in the opposite direction to that which you are looking so if you are looking at the front wheel then yes your red end will be pointing at the sky.
I thought about this too, but the rear red light is designed to look the brightest when looked at an angle from below. Check it for yourself and you'll see.0 -

Uses the same plug as my phone/tablet/Sony camera.itboffin wrote:just ordered 3 x front handlebar mounts from evans for £10
Couldn't see them on Evans site so looked at Wiggle who wanted £2 post so went with High On Bikes on Ebay for 50p less than Wiggle with postage.
BTW my light arrived today too, charged it up after reading the instructions and having a quick play with the light then mounted to my helmet. Although the light can be moved easily when in the cradle it is easy enough to adjust on the fly so no biggie.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -

I've got mine now too. Hooray! Cracking light. I've ordered the handlebar mount too but got described as a lighthouse yesterday on my first trip out with it on my helmet.

Helmet lights are really best suited to offroad rides. I wouldn't use it at anything higher than the lowest setting during road use as I don't want to blind anyone.

How secure is this in the click mount? Worries me slightly that it could fall out. I think if I use it on helmet, I would get a straight version of the twofish velcro mount. I think that would mean it be less raised possibly too.0
