I shall use my light to light my way to the Roebuck this evening.
Never mind telefax, anyone still got a telex?

I used to have an Italian government agency as a customer who only sent important communications via telex I'd only seen one in use before that and that was used to send messages to Japan

    Were they ever widely used?

I think in the 70's. My best mate a primary school's sister was a telex operator

My sister who is a professional scuba diver, sailor, etc says that telex is used for maritime communications.

Not for me, always dark when I ride home at 22:00 but I do have a guaranteed daylight ride into work and a dark ride home. Think in the time I've been doing the 2-10 shift I've ridden 5 minutes on the way home with no lights in the height of summer.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    Cheers.
    It's not online anywhere?
    Tried google but no success.
URL is http://www.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk/PROP2Q - you can try the EARLY20 code, not sure if it'll still bring the extra £5 off.

  • anyone know if this can fit to a proper handlebar mount not just your helmet? I assumed it'd fit using standard lezyne mounts...

i cant remember if i mention this already but wasnt there a rumor that Schummy helmet mounted camera contributed to the severity of his injuries? and if that's the case then wouldnt a helmet mounted light have the same effect?

even if the light comes off the mount is strapped in place, sounds very dangerous to me.

  • Can this bracket-mount be used on the light for front handlebar (I believe you can turn off the rear red light in some way as well - but not sure).

Also got second magazine and no light. Have had a letter saying unprecedented demand and hopefully a light within 28 days.

Rear light can be switched off, I think you have to hold the power button for 5 seconds or something then scroll through modes. Then it could be used as a bar light with the mount shown above. Works pretty well as a helmet light, I like to use one to help spot the deer at the side of the path and thought the rear might be an advantage in traffic. I thought I might use it in place of the Exposure Joystick I have and sell that. To be honest I prefer the Exposure, seems to be lighter and it has a better mount. I can feel the Lezyne mount against my head, can't with the Exposure.
Not a bad light by any stretch, and a great deal when it turns up. Thanks Gabriel.
