Not if we get promoted

TBF we may end up playing you in the PL next season - can't see Everton dropping but Boro are in with a good shout at promotion.

2 defeats in 3 games for Cherries. Worse run of results in 3 months. Getting concerned now.
Looking forward to Sunday though. Away to Villa in the cup. Should be interesting to see the football league's lowest scorers vs the highest scorers.

  • Nippy bum hole time after Jones scored late on, but that's what you get for giving away possession and letting a lump like him get a free header.

Kike needs to start finishing his chances. Apparently Vossen has crippling appearances fees linked to minutes played, shame because I'd start him every game.

Thank you Brighton. Cherries remain top for another week and a bit.
Looks like the top teams are having a few hick ups. Or is it the Championship starting to level itself out?

    +1

Keeps us in second spot :) Just need need to thrash those Mancs this weekend before getting on with the business of getting promoted.

And which team is that John?

Still not convinced that Cherries will go up. Boro and Ipswich for auto promo. Derby to lose out again in play-offs and Maclaren to toddle off to the poison chalice of NUFC. Cherries to make play-off final against Brentford. Brentford to be surprise promotion team.

    Brighton, of course.

I doubt we will drop any more points this season!!

    Boro and Derby, automatic.
The rest of the places are up for grabs, for anyone prepared to put a Readingesque late run together.

I've not been convinced by any team that's been to the AMEX, so far this season.
Derby are the only club to hand us our arses on a plate, (and we've been poor), even then that was down to poor appalling team selection.

Don't worry about your squad, our next run of quality young centre backs are just about to reach the end of the production line.
As is customary we'll keep one and give you the other 2, I assume you're ok with that?

Norwich have the best squad in the division and should be at the sharp end of the league but have suffered from poor management. Whether their new and rather leftfield choice does the trick remains to be seen.

Cherries (leaky defence) vs Hornets (free scorers) on Friday night. Not looking forward to this one. Slide down into play-offs positions me thinks.

Hornets nest dealt with successfully. Sending off after 29 seconds did lend a hand. But who cares.
Boro v Brentford today (Sat)... should be interesting. 3-2
Cardiff v Derby ... the form book says Rams should breeze past through this.. 1-4
Ipswich v Wigan.... No contest, Tractor Boys to knock in 4 unanswered. 4-0
Bolton v Wolves..... Bolton home win by 1 goal. Lennon has got them on a good roll. 2-1
    Brum v Norwich..... 0-0

We should do Brentford at home and confidence will be high after tearing City a new ar$ehole last weekend. UTFB.

I thought we'd get a draw at best so pleasant surprise to win.

Any one of the top 6 can go onto win the championship, everytime someone opens up a bit of a gap they stutter. People might not have tipped Bournemouth and Brentford at the start of the season but Bournemouth especially are good value for their position and scoring goals for fun and playing football. Watford have a heck of a squad and if could iron out their inconsistency could be a major threat, on a good day they rip teams apart, but sometimes just don't turn up.

Ipswich are boringly effective, typical McCarthy anti football team and Derby are very solid and playing decent football.
Karanka seems to be adding a bit of steel to the Boro, so fingers crossed this is our year. The problem with supporting the Boro isn't the disappointments, we're all used to that, but the hope really kills you.

Nice one Boro. Now c'mon Cardiff and Wigan!

  • In all honesty I expected a loss after we beat City, usually we seem to slacken off after a big victory. The way Brentford played first half thought we were lucky not to have conceded. Second half was a lot better from us. A big test done now.

Psycho has left the building. TBH it's been on the cards for sometime. Good start to the season, then was sussed out by nearly everyone. Am now expecting them to pick up a win away at Brighton next saturday.
Derby v Bolton looks like the match of the day next saturday.

We'll have to ask Manc if it's a conspiracy.

    8. Maybe it is something to do with Bournemouth’s fluent passing style inviting tackles, but referees do seem fond of getting out their red cards to protect the Championship leaders.
When Gabriele Angella got his marching orders from ref Lee Probert in the first minute of Watford’s 2-0 defeat, he became the seventh player to be sent off playing against Eddie Howe’s side in their last 13 games.
Across the whole campaign Bournemouth have spent 11.6 per cent of playing time against 10 men, the highest percentage of any side in the Football League or Conference.

Its the only possible reason why they're ahead of the Boro

And long may it continue then. Are the Daily Mail inferring that the Cherries are the Man Utd (Fergies) of the Championship.?

The only rivalry that I can think of is with Pompey or maybe Reading. But that is from another era.
