People banging on about blanking China and reopening British factories.
The same people who shop at Primark.

It’s interesting. After the 2008 crash, it had felt like there was going to be a change in approach to driving prices as low as possible all the time and that a more sustainable economy was required.
That didn’t happen and I doubt the move away from China will either.
Personally, I hope it does as I think China is achieving a monopoly which is a risk to other economies. But, I don’t think we should turn on backs on China completely and nor do I think we could or would. We’re hooked on cheap.

Try pointing that out if plod pulls you over for a word in the park.

The video of the Thursday clap at my local hospital showed all the police cars lined up outside and groups of officers standing together clapping. Obviously there are situations where they can't avoid being in close proximity but it didn't look good when they're telling people to keep apart if they don't live together.

Point being where the clothes are manufactured, not who owns the company.

I don't mind British based companies basing production abroad. In fact, there are 16 factories in the UK.
We moan a lot when foreign companies set up shop here or when they buy out UK companies.
Look at Dyson - shifted most of his production to China, headquarters in Singapore.

The point wasn't the production line, it was the Britain First folk wearing Far Eastern produced clothes.

Boris Johnson praising foreign nurses and then praising the nation for enduring the hardship of self-isolation out of respect for others...

... and then fvcking off to his second house in the country

Boris Johnson I think you have done more harm to this country than Hermann Goering but for your chutzpah and complete lack of self awareness I salute you

One of the people my wife cares for had to go into hospital yesterday and as they're now supposed to take any medication they need with them she did this only for the hospital to discharge the patient without it and lose it for them. As a result she just had to ignore the NHS advice to stay home, protect the NHS and save lives by travelling to the local hospital, pick up a prescription and then on to the supermarket pharmacy for the medicine.

Yep, don't know how many times I went into hospital with all my medication and come away with nothing.
The thing I learnt is: take 2 days supply (the length of time hospital pharmacy takes to catch up) and leave the rest at home.
Now my local medical centre is till only supplying 1 month!! Despite this pandemic. Why? It causes no end of hassle.

The kind interpretation is it got lost due to incompetence. The other option, as it was sleeping tablets, is that someone has a bit of a black market going on!

Another irony. 2018 - we need to stop making single use disposable plastic products they're killing the planet. 2020 - we need to start making and importing loads more single use disposable plastic products or more people are going to die.

because it destroys it. Alternatively place in a paper bag and leave for 6 days, virus should be dead, good to go again, or for N95 weak solution of Hydrogen Peroxide, as long as you reuse your own should be OK.
