Lotto were just 1sec behind Katusha despite having 5 men for half the course.

Dare I say it but Sky looking good.

Edit - or not! Appearances can be deceptive, they looked well drilled compared to most.

Has it stopped raining? If it has then Evans could have an advantage over Quintana.

Sky nowhere at the first check.

Has the wind picked up? Thought Canondale looked well drilled too but also slow.

Only 2 mins of rain at finish just after Orica finished.

Better atmosphere than Rotterdam Prologue 2010.

    Impressive 2nd half by Sky.

Hmmm, is there a problem with the intermediate time check? I know Sky like negative splits but that seems a little odd.

Amazing crowds - great to see.

    Europcar are poor. Lampre 26.03.

Pretty impressive from Sky. Drying course now, which could be good news for OPQS and BMC (Uran and Evans in the GC).

Can't wait to see what the crowds are like on Holme Moss come July, it's going to be crazy!

I can see Evans gaining 30secs on Quintana (and 1min on J Rod).

Thought Pirazzi got a ban after last year's Giro?

Based on Canondale and Sky I'm still suspicious of that intermediate time check.

Belkin also had a very slow time but did a good overall time.

Times are noticeably quicker as it 'drys'.

Tinkoff have done well considering they only finished with 5 and they were all over the place at the finish. Let's see how Uran goes, almost went for him in PTP.

On a straight bit of road?

I was thinking it was surprising no-one had crashed in the wet and then Garmin do it on the straight.
