    That there looks like a bioclastic Wackestone to me...probably Carboniferous in age. Similar to what the Ardennes are made of

    Too many beards this season - Wiggins, Paolini, Gescke, Sagan (or has that gone?). Fine for the off-season but things are starting to get serious.

    Only been 1 or 2 acceptable beards in the pro peloton - best was this:

    Apparently there's a bike race on too, 5 man break still at 1:20 with 18km to go. Climb starts at 11km to go

    Haha, classic. They were maybe great champions when they were on the sauce but not now.

    Anyway on the riding. Movistar played a blinder and to me it shows they have learnt from stage 8 of the tour last year. As I said earlier in the thread, the Great champion Valverde knows this will be probably his only win this year and is it not his home race, or at least where he trains. He's riding it like a any home national rides their own home race.
