This is not going to be easy to finish.

Brutal but still my favorite
Snap.
Blew up half way through the 2nd 20 mins. Still managed 1031kj though, 238W or 3.45W/kg average, so about 98% I think.
No leg speed today despite feeling like I had good legs throughout the day (walking around lol).
FTP way too high, will probably drop to 95% for a while, still about 2.5% more than before Rubber Glove. All the above is just advice .. you can do whatever the f*ck you wana do!

Love revolver, give me interval training over steady state any day of the week! 4PB as well, so even if my rubber glove FTP was seriously compromised I tried hard today!
Bodged turbo held up well,
Kurt Kinetic reckon they will have a new frame to me before the end of the tour, will be interested to see if they manage it.0 -
That's top bodging. I suspect a true sufferlandrian would have lopped off their arms to prop it up - but great dedication.0

I walked into that....
Lol .. wasn't talking about anyone in particular, thought everyone could do with a boot up the bum.
Then HHNF kicked my ass for being far too over-optimistic about how todays Stage was going to go.
Top bodge-job there michael! Someone was a fan of Scrapheap Challenge! Post that on the Sufferlandria Facebook page! All the above is just advice .. you can do whatever the f*ck you wana do!

just finished up Revolver and ended up all over the floor due to my Kurt Kinetic breaking a weld. Now I have to get it welded by tomorrow0

Hmmmm. Never heard of KKs break then two come along at once!
How come I'm a day behind everybody? HHNF for me tonight.Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

I'm using the time zones. That way I can take a rest day if I need to. Like a rest day would help....
HHNF is a lot harder with a power meter. Last time I did it was on RPE - it was much kinder !0 -
Up at 5.15am and Stage 4 complete. God this is tough, I had a job walking up the stairs at work afterwards! I did the first stage at 100% and then cranked down to 95%, no way I could sustain that and I'd much rather try and over achieve the targets at 95% rather than fail at 100%. I find it really hard to maintain an effort just below the target for some reason.

I nearly chucked it in when I found out the double stages have to be done back to back but I'm somehow going to find time to do it having come this far.Vaaru Titanium Sram Red eTap

Extra Shot + Wretched tonight and then a 48hr break including a massive piss up before AVDP which is the one I’ve done more than any other, must be 30+ attempts so feeling pretty positive again this morning, just got to get through today.
Doesn’t look like many riders will have been shelled from the peloton after Stage 3, with 1683 having completed so far with a couple of hours to go.Canyon AL Ultimate 9.00 -
After starting the tour at the first available opportunity I am now lagging somewhat - HHNF scheduled for this evening.
Got another 'working' from home day tomorrow so should crack out Extra Shot + The Wretched in the afternoon. I then have the choice of whether to go to five a side football in the evening....obviousily the sensible answer is no, but I suspect the Sufferelandrian answer is yes (and play with bare feet and a concrete ball)strava - http://app.strava.com/athletes/1217847

…and another 42 have been dropped by the pack. Peloton now down to 1639 riders with the double stage tomorrow (today for some).
Getting very competitive about the prize list, would be great if another 1000 could drop out by Sunday!Canyon AL Ultimate 9.00 -
Not broken my carbon frame yet - but I am on the alu bike on the trainer anyway....
I have managed to graze both knees this week somehow ? I've probably stumbled into the wall on the way out of the turbo dungeon in some kind of daze.
Looking forward to just 68 mins tonight !0 -
Woohoo! Over half way!
Stage 5 done still at 100%, but finding it very difficult to respond to the changes in pace, especially in the Wretched - just nothing in the legs at all... (waiting for foam roller to arrive to hopefully help that a little)
So tomorrow evening I'm supposed to be out on a club run - not sure I'll manage that!!!0 -
WTF?!? How can you have done stage 5! I've still got 4 to do!Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

Stage 5 is Live - as is 4. I'm loving these 50 hour windows.
Stage 6 is go in 17hrs 20 mins. Best get warmed up NapD !0 -
Does anyone know if the back to back stages can have a gap between them. Not too bothered about stage 5 but was hoping to complete stage 7 by doing one in the morning and one in the evening.0
-
That doesn't sound very Sufferlandrian to me...
It's be sods law that you won one of the prizes - but the minions might snatch it back for going off route. Is it worth risking it ?0 -
I don't know. Getting up for a 6am start doing a stage, cutting a roof in with 8x2 timbers for 8 or 9 hours, coming home then doing another stage.
That sounds pretty sufferlandrian to me.0 -
12hr day shift for me with an hour's travelling either side so they have to be done together. Another tomorrow then on to nights. Absolutely knackered as just been fighting with a very angry drunk russian bloke in the cells. I will still get on that turbo! Normally the way I feel now I'd sack it tonight.....Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

If you look at http://www.trainerroad.com/tour-of-sufferlandria, you'll see that you still have over 18 hrs to complete stage 4, and stage 6 opens at 10am tomorrow (UK time).dread_i1 wrote:Does anyone know if the back to back stages can have a gap between them. Also, if I only did one sufferfest, I'm not sure I could bring myself to do a second in the same day!cougie wrote:That doesn't sound very Sufferlandrian to me...0 -

Well i started mine off as soon as i could and glad i did as work got in the way of stage 5 today, so 5 will be done first thing in the morning and i might be a demon and knock out stage 6 at night….(breaking into a sweat typing this)...0

5 down 4 to go.
Day off tomorrow as have an event in the evening I can't avoid.
Hoping to be back at 95/100% on Thursday. Struggled through at 90% today and yesterday.Canyon AL Ultimate 9.00 -
Plumbed the depths of masochistic pleasure during HHNF today: frustrated Classics rider at heart, me!!
Made bearable by watching Spartacus win Paris-Roubaix last year, crossing the line at exactly the 3'30'' mark of my final TT section
Legs bearing up ...0 -
Really struggled on HHNF today. Zero carbs day, weights in my break at work. Heart rate was fine but legs were TOAST! Had to keep dropping the level, very close to bonking. Up again at 5 for another 12hr shift, dreading tomorrow's stage!Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

Just ground out HHNF - http://www.trainerroad.com/cycling/ride ... th-No-Fury
Did the whole thing at 95% - felt good in the first 20, the second one was a right slog but got through it ok.
I have the vid for HHNF but was watching the football - found it really hard to watch in the second 20, my brain was to busy suffering.strava - http://app.strava.com/athletes/1217847
