I don't get mushy peas, they are bland and pointless.
I think it is a British thing that of needing something soft and moist in every dish... gravy and such stuff... in Italy we have plenty of dry dishes, so I am used.
Must be the warmer weather, inducing more salivation and less need for moisture... :-)

I did use the supplied vinagre, if that is of any consolation...

A nice pickled onion is better. And wtf are Artisan fish and chips? Is that not just a chippie??? ;)

A bit more pretentious and a lot better quality.... basically no frozen chips, a nice thin and crispy batter, generally better hygiene and no revolting stench of beef drippings that blankets a square mile.

Tetbury is just up the road from me, so I'll need to try this place though not sure about eating that much mid-ride  .. Would also have to have mushy peas for me though....luv 'em.

Just Googled Stargazy. Have to say they do look very good, so will definitely will be partaking, especially now that the manic scrum of the Badminton horse trials is over for another year...

Fish and chips have to be cooked in beef dripping. The end. You're right about the orrible stench mind you.
