Seriously, I like your style.
Na - front and back lights are independently powered ...
The other lights are powered by a USB battery pack stored in the front pocket of the rack bag - its a 5000mhA as that's what I have - but they're LED so don't take much juice.0 -
Heres my choice for a day out on backroads and gravel, not to bad with a set of road wheels on either.

That looks fun, apart from the no brakes  Something like that would be great round here as a tow path masher0 -

Sven's love scene with his Colnago @ 2:50: http://www.vier.be/veldrijden/videos/di ... ting/99533
He's moving to Trek for 2014.
Given Compton's on cantis I suppose Sven will be as well.When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.0 -

How do you guys feel about unorthodox colors on cross bike? I know my buddy James loves his Stybar Crux.

Love that. I caught a similar one in action last week:

Stunning! that is prettier than exactly 99.7% of bikes (road cross unicycle or otherwise) I have ever seen. Despite some dodgy cable colour mixing and Ksyriums which are the worst cross wheel known to mankind.
Nice to see Campy on a CX, although mates tell me the newer level gives you a bit more to grab onto. When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.0 -

How do you rate your TriCross, I bought one on a whim last year, an Ebay bargain, 2011 Tricross Sport (I think), but with brand new 105 (black/triple) other than brakes, and Kinesis forks - prisitne, all for £300.
I love it on and off road, at the moment it is sporting my older Aksium Wheels (the ones it came with were seriously heavy) and some studded tyres for ice (and snow if it ever arrives!).
I bought it with the intention of doing some CX races, I did the Rapha Supercross at Skipton last year. Problem is I had real issue with front fork/cantis mud clearance, so much so it was unridable at times as it was full off mud knitted together with grass  , the rear was OK... any ways to improve this. May try some summer CX later in the year.
Also in terms of overall weight and quality, is it worth building on the frame over time with better parts?0 -
To be fair, the Tricross is not strictly a 'cross bike. It's more a do-it-all commute, tour, light trail bike which is why I bought it. The brakes are why I went for a disc CX bike the next time (Felt F65X, but I don't like the SRAM groupset so have swapped it for a 105 triple in black)
BTW: that is one hell of a bargain!Chunky Cyclists need your love too! :-)

I know its not quite a CX, but it certainly handles rough terrain, and I think I like riding it as its comfortable, its also adaptable for touring, and guards etc.
The reason I asked as I am in two minds, 1 is to just keep it as is, maybe use it on a few CX races but I don't think the clearance if brilliant, the other is to try and find a replacement DISC frame and fork setup + wheels. Having experienced discs on MTBs, and then taken the TriCross in the mud etc, discs make so much sense.
Are there any light weight'ish disc frames, you can buy for a relatively tight budget?0 -

Is that the V2 seat post and if so how easy is it to fit a rear light to it?0 -

All seat posts are easy if you get a Lezyne Micro Drive or Exposure Flare. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)
