Great thread so I'm going to have to add mine . It's a 2015 Defy Advanced 2 with full 22 speed 105. I've since replaced the saddle with a tan Scoop and I hav a set of Hunt disc wheels on order for some added lightness!

My new Giant TCR Advanced Pro 2. This is my first full carbon bike moving from a 2010 alez with 105. only done 60km so far and still getting used to the new saddle but so far so good.0

OK, first post....Here is my Giant TCR. Originally a composite 3 but a few tweaks along the way.0
-
2015 Defy Advanced Pro 0 and XTC Advanced 29er 0
The Defy has:
- 44cm Giant Carbon SLR bars
- Arione VS saddle
- Ultegra 6800 pedals
- Garmin 510 on Bar Fly 2.0 (using RideSense)
- Arundel Mandible cages
- HED Belgium Plus 32 hole rims
- Conty 4 Season 28mm
- White Industries CLD black
- Sapim Race black spokes, 3 cross
- Sapim brass black nipples
- Shimano RT99 140mm rotors
- Ultegra skewers
The XTC is pretty much stock, with Fizik Aliante VS saddle, XT pedals and Elite Custom cage0 -
I had to ditch the Fizik saddle bag. It was unsightly and bashed around. This is an Arundel saddle bag. And I switched to 4000s tires for the summer.

New TCR Advanced 2 in Large. Some great deals on these at the moment due to the new range being launched. Got it from H2 gear in London for £999 with free 105 pedals, next day home delivery. Weighed before adding pedals or anything and is 7.8kg, replacing a 8.6kg Cube so hope I notice a bit of difference there. Only issue I have is I think I need to swap the stem for one 15-20mm shorter to achieve the same geometry as my old bike, feels a touch stretched at the moment but I'll see.
Before anyone says anything, I know I need to remove the disc, just haven't got round to it.
Got some pro 4 endurance 25mm tyres to transfer across although I do fancy some yellow sidewall ones like the pro team use to add a flash of colour but can only find them in 23mm so comfort may suffer, thoughts on this?

Looks great. Is it really so light, though? Giant actually quotes the weight as 8.2kg
At least your disc isn't a massive black one. Mine looked like somebody attached a 7" Vinyl single to my back wheel.Giant TCR Advanced II - Reviewed on my homepage

Assuming my scales are accurate then yes it is, they are only bathroom scales so might be out but I'd hope not by nearly half a kilo. I did see it listed somewhere as both 8.2kg and 7.8kg so was expecting it to be a bit heavier as they always are but am impressed.0

Does anyone know what bar tape Giant Alpecin use? The black and white stuff?0
-
Its PRO tape - black with white logos
Not commercially available.0 -
I've got the same one. When you say upgrade the brakes, what are you thinking of as I would be interested to know. The TRP half hydraulic half cable seem to get good reviews.
Thanks0 -
I'm waiting for full hydraulic, possibly in conjunction with Ultegra Di2. A decent wheelset is however really the first priority (just created separate thread in 'Road Buying Advice') which should hopefully buy some time for the price of leavers to come down to something more realistic.Tim0

Me on my giant MCR some years ago with my old club, currently debating whether it's worth respraying into new team colours.0 -

My Defy Advanced Pro 0. Upgrades to Fizik R3 carbon braided saddle which was a pain in the arse to fit. Bouught a Giant 9mm seat clamp but the supplied bolt fouled the seat rails. A spare Ritchey seat clamp bolt came to the rescue. Bar tape Deda carbon. God knows when Giant spec was white saddle and bar tape.
Discs and Di2 are a complete joy. Ride quality is excellent. Wheels I feel let it down. Plan to upgrade these to some Reynolds Attack.

Can everyone stop putting up pictures of their Propels please?
Mine isn't going to be here until the end of October...0 -
Few little changes. New shorter stem, 90mm. Black bar tape. Black prologo saddle. Chinese Carbon bottle cages. Grey Michelin Pro4 endurance 25mm off old bike, will be replaced with yellow sidewalls once worn out.
Still dealing in the fit, numb nuts in the drops is my current complaint, but I am really liking the bike. It's had more miles on the turbo than outside as in still recovering from collar bone.0 -
Finally got my Propel in the the correct size. Absolutely love it!
...and 25% off to boot.
Di2 is a total luxury but boy is it nice0
