I've not heard anything either. Mine is a week 18 and is expected to ship on 29/4/13. I just hope and pray that they keep to this.

Thanks for your reply Chaps!
I hope there is no more delay...........I'm starting to feel a bit annoyed now! Especially now that I'm currently "summer bike"-less & my cycling trip to Majorca in first week of May is approaching very fast.
This Canyon better be bloody great given I'll be waiting for more than 4 months for it by the time it arrives!
Sherryman, which model did yo get?
Cheers

I went for the 8.0 (stealth) in the end. Was agonising whether to get the Ultegra Di2 or the DA9000 but when for the DA in the end. Delivery date of week 26 which is just towards the end of June, hoping that doesn't get pushed back as I want to get the most out of it during the Summer. I emailed them and they said the dates given were the earliest delivery dates possible and any delays incurred on them from their suppliers would unfortunately have to be passed onto the customer.0 -
Still a great choice Skerryman, the 8.0 with Dura Ace 9000 definitely looks much better than the Ui2 in my humble opinion. I just want the Ui2 for shear novelty reasons & to try something new.
All the best in getting our new bike!

Not having to tinker with gears once set up with the Di2 was appealing but I figured a top end mechanical groupset like DA shouldn't need much adjusting once set up if cared for properly. Also seeing as this is my first, and possibly last, major splurge on a bike I figured I'd have to try the DA. Got great reviews also and apprently shifting is not meant to be far away from Di2.
Hopefully your steed makes it in time for your biking trip. Make sure you post pics when you get it, itching to see these things in the wild.0 -
I ordered my 7di2 on the 18 Feb and was given a week 22.. I did query them to ask how come their website says otherwise, and was told week 22 was what it was..
look-- I might see you around Glasgow on yours then.. I ordered a small too. 170cm tall with short inseam.. When I spoke to Canyon they said to me if you want a full race bike set up go for xs if you want sporty/comfortable go with a s.. Also I have gone with 120mm stem.. but that was off the back of a Retul fit..
Let me know how you get on when you get the bike.. I am gutted at having to wait so long.. but to get a pro peleton frame for under £3K and able to ride it..0 -

Dont forget on the canyon website, you get different lead times for compact and double cranks, you can toggle crank version build dates on the top right of the availability window
e.g. As of today (12/03/13) the delivery time for a medium frame:
Double in stealth black - wk 22
Double in white - wk 22
Compact in stealth black - wk 21
Compact in white - wk 190 -
Hello UkMacgeek,
I have sent you a PM, but I don't think you can reply since you're new to the forum.
At the moment, I'm pondering whether to cancel my bike & order just the frame set instead. But that'll mean waiting till week 21 or more, its driving me crazy all this waiting!
Not sure if you guys have been watching the Pro races on Eurosport, but I can't seem to see any Katusha Riders on the new Ultimate CF SLX at all. Most if not all of them are on the Aeroad. If the pros are not getting them, then I suppose that's why we're still waiting for ours.
In light of the delay for my bike, Canyon have sent me a signed letter of apology & a really nice complimentary Canyon hardback notebook (which my son blagged already) as a gesture of goodwill. I thought that was nice touch!
Anyway, 4 more weeks now ...................

chigman wrote:Would love to see one posted up here myself. I only ordered mine (small 53) on 2/1/13 and that was a week 14 delivery. I have since contacted canyon about my size and they came back with I need a medium (56) . Now I have to wait till bloody week 18  Still, hopefully the weather will be a bit dryer by then
Someone must have one?
Steve
Well today I had a small gift shoved through my letterbox by a courier guy and it was from Canyon bicycles. In with the gift was a letter explaining that my bike delivery will now be postponed until calendar week sixteen. I got to laugh as my original date was calendar week 18  Anyway, I thought I'd better email them incase they had messed up, but no, my new shipping date is between 14/4/13 & 20/4/13. They seem to have actually brought my date forward and not backwards (why the gift?). I just hope they aint got that wrong cos I wont be happy. :?

You shouldn't have sold that Look, and I should have bought it
One think with Canyon, they don't charge your card until the goods are in transit.0 -
ShutupLegs,
I've got a clubmate who's got a grey colour 565 & he recently bought a new "Chinarello" , but it's a size medium. If you're interested, I can ask him if he's selling if you want?
Let me know!
Cheers

Thanks, decided to buy a new frame rather than 2nd hand. Almost decided to get a CF SLX but still deliberating!0
-
ShutUpLegs,
What's stopping you from pressing the "BUY" button for the CF SLX?
You got your mind set on something else as well?
Cheers0 -
Supersix Evo may be. Delivery of the Canyon is week 17 so only 5 weeks to decide.0

Sad as I am, I think I just spotted the new CF SLX taking a win at the 3 Day De Panne Stage 3a ridden by Katusha's Alexander Kristoff. 8)
I've been keeping an eye out for it since the pro race season started but with no success. It seems to be always the Aeroad or the 2012 CF SLX that the Katusha rider are using until now! I've been winding & rewinding footage of the Eurosport broadcast of the said race and it seems a few of them are on the new bike now!
So, there hope for us getting it soon! Yippe!

I was watching that myself yesterday. Nice close up shots of the SLX after he won the race. Same as yourself, was seeing a lot of Aeroroads but no SLX's, rewound it a few times for a good perv until the missus told me stop0 -
Skerryman,
It's good to know I'm not the only one that needs to see a doctor! :-)
Week 15 looks promising now! 8)

Well jealous of the week 15 delivery date, looking at week 26 myself. Realistically though it won't be far off then by the time I get the funds together. Keep us posted on whether they stick to the date or not, fingers crossed.0 -
Mmmmm nice pic of Kristoff's SLX in the Flanders gallery. They get better looking every pic I see.

Interesting, DA 7970 rather than 9070.
Even the Canyon pros have to wait until week 21!0 -
I have been reading this post over and over in excitement of getting my bike (7.0 di2 - week 19) and decided to email Canyon asking a few questions about the price hikes and battery placement and delivery times. I got the below response along with a link to a technical drawing showing where and how the battery is housed. Also just to point out, Canyon have said if you see the bike advertised for a lower price than what you were invoiced at, asking as the bike hasn't been dispatched, email them and ask them to change the invoice to the lower price, they did it for me and I saved £98!
The battery on the CF SLX is located insiude the downtube close to the bottom bracket, here's a diagram of it:
As far as payment goes your card will be debited when the bike ships, but you are normally billed the price on the day you actually placed the order. If the price does go down during this time just let us know before your bike shiips and we can adjust so that you basically pay the lower price.
Sincerely,
Canyon Bicycles Ltd0 -

That's good, and surprising.
The euro was at it's weakest when I ordered mine, but when the pound went soft it had gone up by £400 at one point; it's only £200 up at the minute; but paying the original price would be lovely.0 -
Any news, waiting for mine at week 18, and would be glad to hear some reviews0

also surprising they didn't use the new VCLS 2.0 seatpost - would think it was tailor made for the cobbles0 -
Hi Mekkeljenson,
I was suppose to get mine this week. But after emailing them yesterday, I've been informed that its going to be late for a further 10 days due to a "busy Easter"................................ what can I do?
So, I'm afraid more waiting it is!
Yours Disappointingly

Thats a bummer, I was looking at a CF SLX Di2 frame, but every time I look it's a 7 week lead time!I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0

When did you first look, around 7 weeks ago?
Just order one and be surprised when it turns up.
Another 40 days for mine, pending no traumas.0 -
Mine is due week sixteen but I haven't been billed yet, dont know if thats a good or bad? :? The way I understood it was.. they would bill me three weeks before shipping date or there abouts.
Think I will email them tomorrow to see if indeed there are any hold-ups.Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 7.0
