What completely baffles you?

People who ask "what are you driving?" shortly after being introduced. Why do they care?

Why anyone fishes. If I was going to sit on a riverbank for ages, I'd just bring a book.

The whole process of buying and selling houses. Way too complicated.

And lots more . . . .

This has never happened to me!

They don't, and generally don't really listen to your answer. It's a safe, neutral, inoffensive conversation starter.

Celebrity culture. What's that all about? This apparent obsession with people who have no discernible talent whatsoever. People who are famous for no apparent reason and, as far as I can see, often have no occupation to speak of. I don't get it at all, and I don't really want to.

  • Baffles: utterly baffling.
I may be a minority of one but that doesn't prevent me from being right.

Viewing figures are worked out by giving a small demographic of people a set-top device that records what they're watching. They then apply that to the entire country. That's what they used to do anyway.

See String Theory and Quantum Physics baffles me but that's the bit in the middle that I'm not so bad at.

Basically there is only 1 way it can stay together untangled, but gazillions of ways it can get tangled up. It's basic entropy! (Thanks Science Club!)

My Geordie/Macca mates say 'Hair of the dog that bit you' !! Hmmm... paws for thought.

What baffles me is 'How the fek did I end up doing what I do as a job and living in this house in this part of the world, with this particular pair of underpants on ?'.

Perfume adverts. Especially the ones that are on around Christmas. Just mind-boggling.
