Other than being aesthetically less than perfect, by far the best way to achieve a light SS with discs is by converting a carbon geared bike using a chain tensioner, a sprocket and a few spacers on the freehub. In principle, one should end up with a lighter product than the starting bike. 8 kg flat should be easily achievable.left the forum March 20230
