If this snow doesn't go then it's trail centres (as long as they're open) all the way - I'm not going up Snowdon to be rescued by a helicopter!!

It's got 2 weeks to get warm & melt all of this sh!t...

I was wondering what our back up plan would be in case of snow. Trail Centres is a good back up plan
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

Sorry for the small picture size, couldn't enlarge them.

We're going to need a heatwave between now and the 5th April to melt all of that!!

    Plan B?

Stiniog was closed last weekend, and he's just cancelled thursdays.

If it is still there, and you still want to ride the mountain, then I'd suggest somewhere on the North West coast - there's absolutely nothing here!

Someone was saying on Singletrackworld that there's very little snow at cyb... No idea if that's true, STW thinks singlespeeds are good so can be considered an unreliable witness. But if it is, is there anywhere else that's dodged the bullet?

Yep, very little (so far) in coed y brenin. Their facebook and twatter confirms. There's a little snow on high ground, but nothing of much concern.

Well that's encouraging then, it'd be a shame to lose the plan but there's nothing wrong with a weekend of CYB, Nant and Climachx.

Oi. I was one of those 'unreliable witnesses!' Just repeating what Andy the local ranger was tweeting, along with some info from NWP.

If you end up doing something trail centre-y on the Sunday I may have a drive over and join you, can't get Friday nor Saturdays off work.

Guys, I just saw footage on the local news, of the crew digging out the railway on Snowdon. The snow looked to be at least 10 foot deep part way up the mountain.
Short of some negative day-after-tomorrow style event, I can't see that clearing in a week!
    Just a heads up.

I'm also going to have to cancel this. I've had a really bad flu for the past week, which has bought about some kind of chest infection (I'm coughing up blood :/ ) - I hope to be better by next weekend, but there's no way I'm going to be in any kind of shape to ride mountains. Sorry
