  • I would hope that you could post them out for under £3 for each as a 'packet', though to be honest depending on how fat the envelope is they might even go as a 'large letter'. Sorry, I work in a post room.

In the couple of days since I looked at this thread it seems to have got complicated. Summary of instructions/options/cost please?
Send Rob 15 quid, receive large cap.

More specifically, visit this sheet and fill it in

Ah, that explains it. Google docs banned at work. I'll do it later.
What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?

I'm assuming from an earlier post that you're waiting for people to fill out details then you'll PM with the payment instructions?

Also shall we have a closing date for the spreadsheet, say a week? That way we can get them before our heads get frozen. :D

There definately needs to be a cut off date.

Does anyone already have one of these caps? I tend to think of myself as having a fairly large head, but wear a medium Giro helmet and take a medium Rapha cap. I've measured my head at just over 23", which puts me right at the top end of the Small/Medium - any thoughts?

Same here, I measure my head yesterday and it was 23inches too....I use a Large for my Specialised helmet...so will be borderline head size as well......:?

I've put myself down for an L/XL at the mo, based on the fact that I reckon my head is probably larger than average, but now I'm worried about it being too big.

I'm borderline, but given that it's SCR I thought I should go for the big head option. Seems to suit the theme

Do we have an official SCR modifier for a large head?

Unfortunately, whilst I like the look of the wool ones, I can't wear wool so my big head and I are out.

Cut of date now set for

    Sunday 21st October

After that I'll send round PayPal details, expecting a prompt payment, and then submit the order only for those that have paid. I'm afraid I'm not going to buy additional ones on the off-chance of them being picked up later.

@Veronese: If these are a success, and its not a massive stress, I might do a summer one come spring time.

I'd be interested in a summer one - for next winter. My head cooks as it is even in a super-ventillated helmet. The closest I get to a hat is the thin ski balaclava I wear for temps below about -5C.

Good luck with this, though - good initiative

Was tempted but they are just too London for me - I'd get beaten up in Leeds wearing something like that  Besides, that Sergeant Major style peak (almost vertical right infront of your eyes) doesn't work for me - I need the old sort that stick out more. Like the built in ear muffs though!

    Where's the final design?

Should have something like this on it Archery_Target_80cm.svg
Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.

Current design is simple text on the back of the flap "Cap: FCN -1". However, if you've got a better idea then add it. How about mocking up a target made out of chain rings, possibly resembling the RAF ensign?

    Cheers for organising this Rob.

    I have a few questions:-
      a) Are you able to enquire with the manufacturer/ supplier what recommendations they have for head sizes which are 23" (borderline - big heads! ) - do we opt for the smaller/ medium or for large/x -large ??
      b) I am happy to provide payment before Sunday (I am on holiday from Saturday evening for a few weeks)
      c) How are the caps delivered to our home. work address and what is the estmated time we will get our caps!
Once again, things for organising, the sizing is an annoying issue and the summer cap will be great idea!

I've asked, will let you know the response

Will PM you my PayPal details once you're happy with the sizing

Its a 4 week lead time, plus shipping from the US, so I guess 5 weeks? Then its down to how quickly I get them posted.

Will stick my name down for one.

WR - are you getting one in white - also have you factored in customs cost - I've been dinged a couple of times - last time £8 admin for a misely tax.

Yeah, its a special order, if you like I can get one made up for you and the missus too? ;)

If we get done for customs then I'll have to ask the masses to chip in the additional cost (hopefully small when split across all of us). I think its 20% of the value of goods and shipping, no?
