One for another day, but I had a look at Craft, and I'm tempted to find out if they'll do knee warmers ('Lycra: -1 FCN' on the back of the calf)

OK, so executive decision time. Walz caps it is, the legend "Cap: FCN -1" (I'll double check DHope's text!) will go on the back of the ear flap in white. There are 6 options to chose from and 2 sizes. In order to sort out who wants what and how many, I think the Google Docs idea is best. I suggest we use hegyestomi's spreadsheet here, though I can't check it as we can't access docs from work. I'll PM him and as him to update it with the latest list, add a column for each of the cap styles and then you lot can put the size in the appropriate column. If you want 2 or more then just put the size in each column. If you want 2 the same, that's just being greedy. I'll give it a few days for you lot to get yourselves in order.

I'll need to work out how to do the payment for this as its a large personal risk for me to put £700+ on a card with no guarantee on completing the deal. I also need to work out how to distribute the caps. London will be relatively easy (meet'n'greet time!) but it might cost a little more for those of you out in the sticks where I'll have to post them to. Let me have a think about this and I'll stick up a suggestion at some point, though any constructive ones would be great :D

PM (or post) your paypal details and I'll pay for mine upfront ... £700+ is too much of a risk for one person to take!

Happy to prepay too. Will look at google.docs when I get home as no access from work, sadly.

People to pay you first, no exceptions, surely.
It's not like you can hide anywhere with those mudguards, and you're not *that* fast

Update the spreadsheet with your forum name and to say you've paid, and email Rob with your real name and reference to how you've paid etc. Rob can then tick off that it's received on the sheet?

Happy to prepay of course. It might be a good idea to have a spreadsheet online with the details

Finance will be subcontracted to Wonga.com with a headline APR of 3,487.12%

OK, so payment upfront it is. I'll get an idea for P&P once the caps are in the UK and once we've got final numbers (to split set up and shipping costs) I'll confirm costs per cap, with and without UK shipping. Then the scary bit, sending you lot my bank account details for payment! We can track payments via Docs when we get to that point.

cool sounds good to me squire, why not just get people to send payments to your paypal account (if you have one)

safer for you, i dunno how much charges would be though

Should be zero if it's a PayPal gift?

    Yep, it's 0 as a gift
Obviously the buyer has no way to claim a refund as they've specified it's a gift, but that shouldn't be an issue

Ah b*llocks Rob, went to the spreadsheet and appended my name for one cap - problem is that my server is in Switzerland so the sheet came up in Sweiz, no idea if my amendment worked.

Wait, idiot, checked on the iPhone and it has.

How do you want payment mate?

Thanks for sorting this out mate! Perhaps you shoudl get a free cap for it? based on teh fact it could probably cost everybody an extra 50p

Spreadsheet entry added. Thanks WR - Great work! Quite happy to go with the flow on colour.
  • Spreadsheet entry added. As I understand it we need to put size as either Small/Medium or Large/X-Large, and we can express a preference for colour (options here). I'm going to have to rely on postage so that will need to be factored in. If you aren't sure I could Paypal say £15 up front and send extra if it is any more.

Might be worth editing the first post to include the spreadsheet, options etc... :)
  • Added myself to the spreadsheet.

Anyone any ideas for design? Is it going to be possible (cost effective) to have an actual design embroidered or will it just be a slogan?

All, I've added a link to the S'Sheet on page 1 and then made some changes to the s'sheet to make it easier for me to understand what people want. I've also added some validation, e.g. the sizes as some people had picked "Large" when the 2 options are "S/M" and "L/XL". I've allowed up to 3 caps per person. This has required some cut'n'pasting of columns and I think some of the details may have been lost, e.g. WillyB has a cap size but not a choice. Sorry.

Can you please check the sheet to ensure that your details are correct and fix those that are not? Please also add your selection of caps. Currently there is still no commitment to buy, that will change when I PM you my Paypal details and ask for the cash!

In the couple of days since I looked at this thread it seems to have got complicated. Summary of instructions/options/cost please?
What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?
