  • Ok, here's Wiggins video interview with Sky

    http://video.sky.com/news/related/52885 ... cking/true

Another poster commented that he was shocked that Wiggins saying that he 'basically knew what was going on'. In this video, what he actually said, when asked if it had come as a shock, that it hadnt really because of all the evidence that had been building up over a long time, Hamilton's book, the USADA action.

Thanks for the link. Thought Wiggins did a fine job... pretty understandable why he's pissed off.

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

Sad thing that I think alot of people don't mentio as much as those in this perid who did race clean and stayed clean in the middle and rear of he peloton. These are the lifes that have been affected more in this. These are the people the dopers and UCI have failed big time.

Too much is being drawn on the drugs being an arms race amount a handful of team leaders. Riders like Moncoutie who had had success but should have had more. Thats the real shame with all this. Its these guys I wish the pro riders talked of when they talk of doping in the past. If they are sincere and clean suely its these riders in the past who they should have more in common with.

Is Armstrong going to be hauled in to rephrase his whole Dodgeball speech?

    Something like
"When I came back to cycling after cancer I realised I needed to take a shedload of drugs to be anything other than an OK crit racer; and I had the commitment to do that"

Just because some people weren't successful pro riders this proves they didn't dope????
I think you're using a bit of flawed logic there.
  • Yates's denial:
    http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/yates-d ... el-in-2005
Yates claimed that his role was just to drive the Discovery Channel team car and come up with team tactics.

I was with Lance in 2005, for his last Tour win. Before that I was working with another team....."

What team would that be, Sean?
The Giro winning Paolo Savoldelli team, I seem to recall.
    Bjarne's Tiscali-CSC I believe.

I tell you what. Katusha have installed Armstrong's staunchest ally as team director, the only team ahead of them on the rankings are under fire for very little and the mob are baying for the blood of the man standing between their owner and the UCI presidency.
Igor Makarov is a f***ing genius.

Yeah but everybody knows Katusha are dirty. They never branded themselves as a face of anti-doping.

Broadly similar to UK. On an Irish forum, one poster said he'd posted it on Facebook and it was taken down after a couple of hours.

But their owner is the man who will take control of the UCI if Verbruggen & McQuaid are ousted (he probably will soon anyway). And I appear to be the only one who has noticed.

For someone who is being placed up on the same pedestal as Betsy Andreu, she was extremely complicit in the logistics of the USPS programme.

I know Inner Ring mentioned ousting Fat Pat could lead to more problems due to this so its a tricky situation. Guess it comes down to which dirty, incompetant prick we prefer?
