Oh Really Sean Were all surprised to hear that

Who was the nuggett on saying how can you beleive 11 ex-team mates stories....why didnt they all come out years ago...If these nobs are going to come onto a radio programme then look at all the FACTS...it's embarrassing that some still want to defend this charlatan.

As for Brailsford now saying he's "Dissapointed" in Michael Barry FFs ???? - who is he trying to kid.

    Thanks Blazing.

Just reading CVV's statement and in there he says referring to CSC, 'outside the pressure of an organised team doping program'

So thats at least four Sky personnel who have either admitted doping or are looking something less than spotless. (Barry, Yates, Leinders and possibly Possoni)?

Couldn't decide if Jonker really hadn't seen anything and was a bit hacked off cos he didn't get the sweeties, or if he was part of the omerta!!

Bit harsh on Harmon expecting him to comment on this on air without having looked at the document. With Ricco et al you can give a knee jerk reaction, he'd been caught with a positive test. Bit more difficult to give a knee jerk reaction to a 200 page document which is a summary of 1,000 pages of evidence!

Any response needs to be thought through and considered - who knows, maybe he's been asked by Eurosport not to give his opinion.

As commentators go, it's Liggetts reaction I'd most like to hear. Stupid old fool.

Bertagnolli says "Pozzovivo hurts us on the climbs"; Ferrari says it's because he weighs about 50 kg; Bertagnolli answers he never ever saw him do things like that, "he's all muscles"

-So Pozzo is clean. Didn't think he wasn't, but it is nice to see it said by a pro rider.

    Odious creature

    IMO

    I'm sure he's a lovely bloke.

I'm positive he's a lovely bloke as it's widely reported, and watching the teams parade down the Champs after this years tour, Jens was stopping every few metres to sign autographs and chat with fans. He stood out as pretty much the only one to do that. Is he odious because you suspect he doped and is therefore a liar? He is one of the few riders who's made it clear what he thinks of dopers as far as I'm aware?

I'd read the opposite into that - that Bertagnolli reckons Pozzo is now changed. "All muscles" - Testosterone / HGH perhaps?

No mention of LLS in that Bertagnolli translation. (edit, just seen it was selective and not all)

Contador points are interesting for their lack of: a. Ferrari involvement and b. Ferrari's opinion that he is guilty. Ferrari even says his results could have been spiked (imagine if Lance or Joahn organised this!).

Ah, maybe. 'Never do things like that' - I took this to be the drugs, but maybe he meant tearing up the climbs.

All the 'muscular' stuff would make him heavier.

  • Sky are not covering themselves in glory today.
Brailsford is surprised by the obvious, and disappointed with Barry for doing the right thing. He's also being disingenuous (or misreported): his statement mixes up "having a prior conviction" with "doping in the past and getting away with it".
Dowsett thinks it "doesn't really matter" that his sport used to be dominated by a cabal of coercive drug pushers, some of whom are still hold influential roles today.

So every American cyclist who rode the Tour de France with US Postal and Discovery for the seven year period between 1999 and 2005 has now confessed. Except Livingston. Livingston has been named in most (if not all) of those confessions.

Livingston runs his coaching business out of Mellow Johnies.

Who openly uses Livingstons services? They now have to be under suspicion don't they?

Father Vaughter's recent admission of doping was short on details, but his mentions of doping to get the last 2%, which you'd assume is the final push in a big squad.

"People who end up living their dreams are not those who are lucky and gifted, but those who are stubborn, resolute and willing to sacrifice. Now, imagine you’ve paid the dues, you’ve done the work, you’ve got the talent, and your resolve is solid as concrete. At that point, the dream is 98 percent complete but there is that last little bit you need to become great.

THEN, just short of finally living your childhood dream, you are told, either straight out or implicitly, by some coaches, mentors, even the boss, that you aren’t going to make it, unless you cheat. Unless you choose to dope. Doping can be that last 2 percent. "

He's generally been able to ringfence the belief that the doping relates to his time in USPS, however Levi's deposition states that JV was using EPO prior to '97, during his two year spell with Porcelena Santa Clara

Furry nuff, but his more public statements have tended to gloss over the fact that he has a lot of "previous"

Nah. In his Twitter confession he'd made it clear that they'd tried to ride clean at Santa Clara but had to give in to it in order to just be able to make the time cut.
