Why? Why would he have stopped or not done it?
Most reasonable people would have stopped if only out of fear they would get caught. Lance comes out of retirement so he can cheat some more.
I think he came out of retirement simply because they all do, Everyone always wants to give it on more shot. Hmmmm, maybe a bad choice of words.0 -

Who Pharmstrong or Gallagher 8) ....Is it me or does gallagher look like a "Jakey"
My commute takes me down Saltmarket, he's a dapper gent compared to that.
Watching the recent Road to glory on Sky it struck me that the Cycling Journo's in the room looked kinda well how can i put this ehh "Hand Picked" was that not a Bruyneel trademark ?

Depending on which nephew it is, I'd say it definitely qualifies as depressing. If one of the brightest young talents in the sport has been using Michele Ferrari, I don't know what else to call it other than depressing.0 -

I would call it plain stupidity - F**K sake how stupid are some of these cyclists still using this guy after all thats been said...if cycling is that hard why dont they take up darts or something like that rather than go to a doctor.0 -

Looking at the Italian document, the Moser link was from 2007, so probably more likely to be one of the older nephews. I don't know if that qualifies as good news.0

take up darts or something like that rather than go to a doctor.
Jockey Wilson and Phil 'I've got no power' Taylor are failed cyclists...........when they couldn't keep up in the local chippers they turned to darts for salvation (and in Jockys case to 80 shillings)..............rather than take a visit to the local quack (lets face it in Scotland he'd be prescribing 80 shillings anyway..........).
I did a simalar thing in '91........... I found solice in fairways and 3 woods ..............and a few thousand gallons of Guiness. It's what my local doc would have prescribed anyway..............unless I'd got a million dollars to spend...........0 -

A while back someone commented that the Fed's focused on whether government money was used to dope. He also commented that the money was for advertising and
that USPS certainly got a lot of that for their money what with all those TDF wins. He went on to say that once USPS gave the money to the team that it was no longer theirs, it was now the teams money and how they spent it was up to the team as long as they provided the publicity required. Now I realize that this is a pretty flimsy way of thinking about all this but it could have been a legal "tipping point", if you will, for LA because the Fed's weren't investigating doping at all, just the misuse of federal funds. Maybe the jury felt that the funds stopped being federal funds the minute the team "cashed the check". So, sure it was a stupid way of looking at it but apparently the jury of 24 people saw some sort of problem with it all and they were the ones who would have made the decision of "go or no go". Whomever pulled the plug knew what was happening or not happening with the jury. Maybe new evidence will have the Grand Jury reconvined to take another look. Key word maybe.0 -

I meant it's not the worst possible news, but it's still not good news. That Moreno's brother allegedly has worked with Ferrari is still a bit of a worry.0 -

BBC breakfast main headline about the USDA going public on LA. After this, it might get a few less kids on our Club rides now after the Wiggins effect. Our Club Ride resembles a Creche on wheels these days. Kids are funny though.

So it is all North American riders. Funny that. Everyone always banging on about Europeans.
And why does Hincap and Barry go clean after 2006. Sacred by Landis maybe.
Also both (and others say) 'deeply regret' - this is very weak - if it really bothered them they wouldn't have done it in the first place and would have stopped riding in 2006 in disgust, or talked about it then. Oh, actually no, because they were still getting paid big bucks.
An excuse of: 'it was my dream to ride, so I had to dope to be able to compete' is a legitimate one. It's like saying: 'I want a Ferrari, I can't afford one by normal means, so I will steal one'. Then they catch the theif and he says: 'Oh, I deeply regret it'
CVV's statement is good. Those who have read the whole doc - does it mention who introduced CVV to drugs?Contador is the Greatest0 -

FF, none of them come out of this shining with glory. However, I'd rather that they did come forward and speak, if very very late in the day. I still reserve my anger mainly for the pushers and enablers.0 -

Outted as clients of Ferrari.
Greg Lemond is now the only American who's worn the yellow jersey. DZ, Hincapie and LA all stripped of them.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -

So the evidence turned up by USADA whilst investigating an American on an American team is mainly from Americans.and, for you, this is surprising and points to Europeans being cleaner?
Theres none so blind as he who will not see"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Lance had this released on the same day to try and cover some of it:

Iain, when you say Italian docs, what are you referring to?Contador is the Greatest0 -
Daniel Friebe @friebos
People feel sorry for Bassons. Don't - he'll tell you that he's very happy with his life. He was too well-adjusted for pro cycling anyway.
David Millar @millarmind
Still reading the USADA report. For the record there are people in there who are better (there are also worse) than me and yet fucked up.
It's all so sad.
This is my friend's statement, it's more important than mine right now, "@ChristianVDV: My statement...Contador is the Greatest0 -

As Iain has said, many Europeans already busted. Also Mantova and Puerto still to come - plenty of stuff still to come out0
