DZ worried that EPO would give him large ears.

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

Millar just sounds unbelievably sad about the whole mess
    I'm struggling to understand why.

Apart from the ones who clearly state that they continued doping after leaving USPS you mean?

It never occurred to me before and it may be old news, but reading Hincapie's affidavit about what Lance was using before he had cancer, could he have caused it through steroid use?

only up to page 77 so far and even though this probably was a witch hunt I think it was justified.

Makes you wonder how the Federal investigation was stopped as that seems to be the source of the money they used.

i don't expect the hog to respond on twitter as he is still awaiting his case being heard but he must be s**tting himself at the moment

But there is nothing in the summary that would make you think McQuaid would be out.

I agree it makes it easy for the UCI to do that and make naff all statement on it and carry on.

IF they didnt... well, they'd be opening a massive can of worms for themselves.

The press would still hammer the UCI anyway I guess.

I wonder if the delay in releasing the document was all about cleaning it up to make nice with the UCI?

Questions for the UCI, no doubt...but McQuaid can still draw breath. Lance, see ya!

It's sensible. The only reason the UCI would go to CAS is if it was blaming them.

Or...gasp, perhaps there's no real significant evidence of the UCI being that evil?

Because its his friends (his words in the context of VdV) who are having to do the perp walk.

All credit to Radio 5. Always eager to maintain balance, they managed to find some chump who still believes Armstrong.

Anyone notice that Leipheimers statement is signed off by Tyler Hamiltons ex Mrs. Isn't that a conflict of interests??? Maybe I've just got Lance off!! Gotta be worth a few quid.

Well, this business with the UCI, I think the UCI's pointed at a good few times, but most of the doc is testimony and not many people would have much testimony on the UCI I suppose. Still, the doc makes Pat n Hein look right twerps when it mentions them at least.

Yeah, maybe I'm misinterpreting his "It's all so sad" comment as being about the whole situation. I would've thought a man who has said how he wants to help the sport would be pleased it's now all coming out into the open but I guess that will take time for him.

got to correct the above statement, ignore the "it only seem to have taken place during the USPS years".

Didn't Hincapie state that he stopped doping in 2006? A bit hard to believe that now.... perhaps he reduced his programme.

Also makes you wonder about Contador...
  • I reckon I got as many results as Tommy D in 2005 and I spent 0 on my training and drank beer all the time.

    Really?

A guy who's ridden for Saiz, Bruyneel, Astana and Riis, and is "trained" by Pepe Marti - I mean, I'm not sure what there is to wonder about :P

  • Incidentally, anybody remember Pantani's deranged scrawling about how the rules should apply to everyone?

Do you really think this is going to be that easy for the UCI to accept?

Page 161: "the UCI has responded with similar disdain and disinterest towards other cyclists that have tried to bring forth evidence of the serious extent of doping within the peloton"

Perhaps we've got too used to the stance of McQuaid and others. I'd have thought that for those outside cycling this is pretty damning for a governing body.

If you're a Roman K or LL Sanchez fan, I'd avoid looking at the docs which are in Italian.

It just went on and on and on and on and on for ever and a day.... in the end they all turned on him

Can you imagine what is going thru larry's head these days?... a hell of his own making, and I think he can't see it.

are we done now? or is there more?

Has anyone noticed it's not really a "The uci is corrupt" type of document
Not really surprising given where the testimony came from.

That's not to let the UCI off the hook, but I would have thought any "let's not take the issue to seriously, eh?" discussions would have taken place between the UCI and event organisers, team owners\top management, and maybe sponsors and equipment manufacturers.

Contador!!! :D ...there's not much to wonder about with Contador, just read up.
  • Wait... What's this? Pepe Marti, Contador's "trainer", had no job on USPS other than Drug Mule?
