Got a few PBs today and a 13/91 on one of my segments. Pleased with that!
Might try for top 10 tomorrow as I was only 2 seconds off.0 -
I'm currently ranked 132nd in the CTS Challenge! I am chuffed, I haven't ridden so many miles in 5 days in 2 years.
Anyone here on target to get the 690 miles?0 -
Can you only edit your own segments?
I want to create a new segment but it told me there was a similar segment.
The issue with the one that is currently in place is that it is only activated by riding from the south, not if you come from the north and turn right into the two mile stretch of road. I don't get why people are not a bit more sensible when they create these segments?
Also the current one has the finish line just after a set of traffic lights. :roll:0 -
Just create the new segment ...0
-
Definitely justified: I'm in 4th place from a quick effort yesterday even stopping for temporary lights in the middle and there is a new KOM for the same stretch of road a couple weeks ago that had not previously registered.0

Certain segments (e.g. Tower Bridge) keep getting locked, duplicated, locked, duplicated - its all a bit annoying. Fear not though, I don't actually lose any sleep over this stuff, was just saying...0 -

Yes, you can only edit your own segments, and make segments on routes you've ridden. If you want to make 2 segments going both ways on the same road, then you need to ride it in both directions.
If you make a segment and it says there are duplicates, or ones close to it, then go ahead and make your own, and hide the others that you don't want to see.All the above is just advice .. you can do whatever the f*ck you wana do!

none of them are particularly impressive but I like the first and last one (think i could go quicker up most of them if i changed the Powertap wheel and cheapo tyre, back wheel is like 2kg on its own lol10 mile TT pb - 20:56 R10/17

I'm delighted with how easily my new bike rolls along, that's a pretty standard 40 mile loop for me and I added in an extra couple of hills covering 1 more mile than usual and still finished ten minutes quicker. You've no won the Big Cup since 1902!0 -

can someone take a look at this ride and see if they think it is done in car.
I'm all for girl power but 40mph on the flat? is that possible?

I'd say that was genuine, top speeds recorded via the strava app are normally way off the mark.0 -

I guess I just need to refer to rule number 5...0 -
Something's weird abou those numbers .. 80W 19mph sprint, then a couple of 1m sprints at 350W+ .. she seems to average about 100-110W. Maybe she's a track cyclist out training?

My wife has lead me out on a completely flat road dropping me off at 60kph, she certainly could've come off my wheel that day had we been reversed. So don't see why it's impossible at all.
You need to re-assess the speed of "girls". Are you the sort of guy who just can't be passed by one so just ends up killing yourself drafting 'em whilst they're out for a pootle?Jibbering Sports Stuff: http://jibbering.com/sports/0 -
Nightmare weekend - New road layout near the inlaws meant my Garmin kept tryin to reroute me back to the start of the course, even though I was on it just further along! Ended up finally turing the nav off in Merthyr and then trying to self navigate on the screen; then ITB flared up and I was switching the timing on and off (and getting lost)
Made up though when I plugged int he Garmin and was surprised to see this: http://app.strava.com/segments/1170071
OK only me and 1 other have ridden it, but who cares!0 -

Found the circuit thanks to Strava, which is surprisingly flat, even with all the visible undulations on the chart. I'm in Crewe and whilst I dislike the town immensely it's got easy access to the countryside and you're out of the hole in a very short space of time.http://www.youtube.com/user/Eurobunneh - My Youtube channel.0 -

Looks positively mountainous to me! I don't know how to link it but one of my 59km rides has only 167m gain!0 -
Just to remind everyone, please do not take Strava seriously.... it is sometimes so blatantly ridiculous!

just out of interest are you supposed to start segments from a standing start or do riders hit the start as fast as they can.0

haha
I meant is that possible for ANYONE to keep up 40mph over a 0.75 mile or so section on the flat.
Nice try though0
