As you can see, relative to his torso, Wiggins not only has longer legs than Schleck, meaning he can get his bum higher, but also , more importantly, relatively shorter forearms, meaning he can get his shoulders lower.QED
Anyway, re that diagram - would Schleck not benefit from a longer top tube?
    Or longer stem?

Aren't there rules about how far forward your elbows are allowed to be over the headset?

Be interesting to get Jeff Jones expert opinion on this.

I tried PMing him but he doesn't exist anymore.(???)

Yeah - he still exists - I just had a mental block sending the pm

He won the Tour. The bloke who beat him that year on the road tested positive.

Part of the rules of winning is that you pass all the dope tests - just like the rule that you have to complete the course in its entirety, etc etc.

Please -- now you're just being ridiculous.

Andy and Óscar Pereiro won the Tour -- that's like saying the Americans won in Vietnam.

    Here I am!

The seemingly obvious thing from looking at the pic is that Schleck could get a bit lower. But he may have tested that in the tunnel and not found much in the way of aero gains, so opted for the more comfortable higher position. I said seemingly as because from photos you can really only see if anything's grossly wrong. Subtleties have to be tested.

I suspect - and I could be wrong about this - the Schlecks' main problem is how motivated they are to improve against the clock. That drive has to come from within as there's only so much an outsider can do. Look at all the top time triallists and you can be sure that all of them have spent years refining their position, worked out what makes them fast and importantly, how they can keep improving.

I've also noticed some riders who've just got lucky but then veered off the path (changed bikes, moved something) and gone slower. In my experience, the tiniest changes can have a large effect on your aerodynamics. A lot of cyclists don't get this.

Err, yes he did. Did you not watch the Sporza video? They gave him a yellow jumper to prove it!

Not just any yellow jumper, but a 2012-style Coq Sportif yellow jumper!

I guess all the 2010 ones had already been given out.

Even Andy knows deep down inside he didn't win it. He won it in the courtroom, not on the road.

But haven't you said he's a moron / fool. So why should Andy's opinion on this count for anything? ASO says he won. The record books will say he won.

Here's a question, if he objects so much, why didn't he decline and say he'd prefer not to accept the jersey, if he felt so strongly about it?

Ask him, he said it. The answer to your question, he's not that big of a fool/moron to completely disrespect the ASO. Of course he's going to take the jersey but like HE said, it doesn't count.

OK, fair play, you obviously know more about the Schlecks than I do. I'll put you down on the BR Fanboi list as their Superfan!

Frank might but then again only if Andy does. It doesn't make sense to drop out and make Andy unhappy. I'd tell them both to hang in there for second place again because who knows maybe they'll win again in the courtroom and WIN AGAIN!!!

Yes and I refuse to recognise Henri Cornet as a Tour de France winner.
