    sup with the knee?

you'll probably be 10x faster than me still though lol
I T-boned a car when it turned right across me. She sat there and waited for me to enter the killzone before she turned

Although I can now claim to have smashed her back door in.

What if your dreams and fears existed in the same place? What if to get to heaven, you had to brave hell? What if everything you've ever wanted cost you everything you've ever achieved? Would you still go there?

How many people have helmet cams etc? I'm hoping to get a new bigger card for mine so I can get as much as poss on cam, but space will be limited!

I've dug out the Veho Muvi camera so, even though it's not HD, it'll add another perspective to the thrills & spills :D

I've got a Muvi copy. I believe CWNT had one too. Not fantastic, but it's better than nowt.

I'm really looking forward to this holiday, though my fitness may show me up a bit

I did have one a while ago, I actually had 2.

Can't be doing with helmet cam footage, it all looks exactly the same. And I cba getting off to get fixed point cam stuff either

I'll be taking the regular camera to get some snaps, although as is usually the case, I'll probably not be using it much.

Keith, we still doing a peaks ride on the Thurs with Richie? Are the peaks not under water yet?

Yep, as far as I'm aware we're still on for the ride. The Peaks are never underwater, the hills are too high and steep ;) Richie will know better, he's nearer them than I am.
I'm hoping that all this rainy weather now means that there will be a nice warm, dry spell a few days before we get there and last until the Monday. That would be awesome!

I'm sure it's no great loss but I'm going to have to drop out of this I'm afraid, turns out I have a shop to dismantle that weekend.
I love horses, best of all the animals. I love horses, they're my friends.

    BOO!

Still, you could always come for the ride on the Thurs, or the Friday, or Just come for a curry on Thurs night if you're anywhere near Sheff.
  • Burgers... tesco... 80p for 4

Got a few in the freezer, seems that this crap weather does have its benefits!

Greeting from a small metal dot in the North Sea

As far as I'm aware the trails are running well in the Peaks and what I've got planned for you doesn't really matter if it's snowing either. and the curry place is top notch and I'm buying so there.
I'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

    Hehehe.

That reminds me actually. Because I'm coming over on the Thurs now, I'll probably not be bringing any food from Mrs CWNT I'm afraid (maybe a couple of cakes if I can talk her into it).

Hopefully the weather is good enough to BBQ on the sat night. I'm still holding out hope for good weather.
  • Was wondering, how many are now confirmed as turning up?

There are 10 of us camping (confirmed), plus maybe another one.
    Then 2 or 3 day-trippers.

Edit: There's a full list on the first page.

Hey Richie, is there a Halfords near you? There's a few things I could do to pick up for basecamp crud.

I'm sure we can find one en route.

Can't wait for this! I too am hoping for good weather. I'm getting me a camping hat tomorrow 8) Not sure where I put my old one.

That would be good if it's not too much of an imposition.

I just wanted to grab some cheapo, single use type stuff that I can donate to someone, or bin so I'm not lugging it all around on the way home. I'm toying with the idea of buying a gazebo too but will have to see what they're like.

By the way, does anyone have a car charger for a Samsung phone? I seem to have lost mine (probably left it in the car when we sold it) and cba buying another if I can just borrow one. Strava will eat my battery each day
  • I have a charger.. Fits Samsung and HTC etc!

    Annoyingly, doesn't fit my contour!!

Cool beans. Would you mind bringing it along? I'd be gutted if we went all that way and I wasn't able to strava the rides
I want to see how slow I am compared to other people who ride round GT and Inners.

I also want a record of my movements because knowing this particular crowd I may end up doing a Maddie and vanishing without trace.

Anyone reading this, if in a few weeks time you see Ben, Kev, Keith and Richie on telly appealing for my safe return, tell the police, THEY DID IT!
  • Yeah tis on my checklist!

Still waiting to hear what car we'll be bringing, still holding out for the company Skoda estate... Had the 2 bikes in the 206 at the weekend and it was tiiiiiight!

Is the Samsung the same as the HTC connector? micro USB?

If so, I have one in my car too (though the more, the merrier)
