went to Glentress with lewis and Bro-inlaw - climbed up from trailhead to buzzards then down BBB, through the freeride park and BBB again before going back down the blue route to trailhead. 8 miles which isn't bad for the wee guy. He got air on couple of table tops which give him a bit of a shock lol

I went exploring on the Quantocks, looking for something different. Didn't really find much other than a couple good link ups.
On the bright side, while recovering at the top of Ladies Edge I saw a fox take a lamb. Never seen that before.

Antur. The blue, the new blue, mincing and pushing the red and riding (but not properly jumping the doubles or anything) the bottom bit of the black.

My second trip there and definitely not my last. Battered now though.

We went to Antur for the 1st time on Thursday and were the first to ride the new blue. Very flowy and loose. Also spent the day mainly on the blues and reds. Felt our way down the blacks and didn't even consider the drops off the mound. Awesome DH center with the quickest uplift. Think we counted 17 runs in a day. Will definitely be going back. Snowdon today. Up the LLanberis, -3 degrees and zero visibility at the summit, Rangers path down before yomping up to and then down Telegraph Valley.

Had an epic ride round Glenlivvet. First time there , fantastic. I'll go more often especially as I live one hour away from the trails.

First time at Bike Park Wales and it won't be the last! Loved it even though it was wet all day and extremely foggy.
Two rides up and two trips down, road the fire road up the first time and the. Realised the Beast of Burden was the tail up!! Much better and more interesting than the fire road.
First time on big trails with my Trek Fuel EX8 and it performed superbly.

Is that signposted at all or just local knowledge?
Looking at having a few days away down that way.

It's just footpaths, so local knowledge. It can be quite tricky to find your way as there's a lot up there, really easy to get lost. Drop me a message or check out the MBNW forum, I or someone else may be able to show you around.

Same again tonight :) Got a few top 10s on strava ;)

Amazing day up at afan :D sunshine dry trails, got up early so had whites level to myself so had a real thrash and managed to get 2nd overall on the whole trail on strava :D , then buzzed down the road to the other carpark and did the penhydd trail for the first time, a lot of fire track but the downhills made up for it. Had a bit of a rest and then hit up the bike park for a few hours. Got home and went straight to the pub - perfect day 8) :D 8)

a great ride down at Gorlech. Sun was shining, trails were dry. Apart from a small closed section for repair it was riding brilliant.

Broken bike again today, another cracked freehub. So I rode a horse in a field in sunny Somerset. It could have gone better, I had a lie down and a bit of a sleep in the dirt.
  • As I refuse to drive any where over the Easter Weekend break (I drive for a living) it was local trails both yesterday and today on the new 29er+ Travers Titanium running in the new Rohloff hub at the same time.

Met up with a mate who has the only other one in the north for a gossip, ride and a few photos, mines on the left

It's an mtb Tandem ride with the wife tomorrow morning as well, 4 days off 3 days of riding, can't complain

Sunny* Holmbury over the weekend, including all the 'usual suspects' and some slightly off-piste stuff courtesy of a bit 'local knowledge'. Not as many folk about as I expected - unless you wanted to ride on the road .....which I didn't.

*...except Sunday - it p****d down, so I went for a drive instead

2 Rides today, this morning i went out for 30 miles on the road bike which was effort as i decided to do a 'tour' of the local hills. Then this afternoon went out on the proper bike with a few mates and stumbled upon some 'cheeky' downhill trails. I did one run then as i was spinning back up, bottom gear, with no real pressure on the pedals, the chain snapped, about 6 miles from home. Had to walk/be towed by my mates back home where i bashed the bent link with a hammer and put it back on the bike because i'm getting a new chain in about a month anyway.

    Guisburn red today,
Been 3 month before I have used the MTB with any real determination since my wee off and injury at Lee, certainly made me know I was out of practice and still sore from the off.
