That looks fun0 -
Yeah, it is really fun, one of best spots in my flat, far from mountains, city. In this season we built additional cool trail here0

FOD today. we rode the blue then onto the red. my first ride in about 6 weeks or so i think. great fun in the mud and rain. i'm knackered now though it's a great feelingI don't know enough to make smart r's remarks about peoples choice of parts 'n' things, yet!0

Our North West MTB club's annual Santa Ride around the single track of Delamere Forest
The Woollybacks
Silly costumes and silly bike.
Hard work in the twisty stuff but great fun0 -
Queen Elizabeth Country Park. Have not seen mud like that since I last rode QECP in the middle of winter (probably 15 years ago). I'm sure you could extract pure Teflon from that mud, how do they make it so slippery?
Still great fun and the washing machine survived too which was a bonus.0 -
Hour on the roadie yesterday in between cooking and taxiing duties. Hour on the HT this morning, pure from mudfest. Slowest ride in years.
Fun though.0 -
45 mile & 1750m of ups and downs local mud fest and home in time for more lunchtime spouts

Holy hell, most of their Red features wouldn't seem out of place on a DH track. Hardest Red I've done so far and I don't think I'll take it on again without a fork upgrade and some more skills. Walked down the rock garden at the top of the big beefy climb.... and the next huge rock as well. Then it went OK until I crashed.
You know the kind of crash where you know you've screwed up and it won't end well, but you try and fight it anyway and end up with an embarrassing slow-motion fall into the muddiest part around? Yeah, one of those.
No harm done and so on I went, avoided another couple of drops but then they caught me out with a section that starts off going down some rock slabs, then onto a boardwalk with a big drop in it that you can't see from the top. No way I could stop, so just had to ride it out. Scared the crap out of me but I made it down.
Phew! Did the Blue run again to finish off with. Good workout.0 -

Tried out Clayton Vale next to Manchester Velodrome. Nice little well though out trail centre, I'll be heading back. 36km round trip as I rode there and got one lap in.0

Just back from a little tour of south wales trail centres, Cwmcarn XC and red DH on Friday, Bike Park Wales on Saturday, Whites Level on Sunday and Forest of Dean DH on Monday.
Very tired legs but big smile on my face, been a while since I've been on some proper hills with decent length descents and testing trails. Really good fun can't wait till the next trip ...0 -
Local trails, trying to find new fun bits, mainly fell off at embarrassingly slow speeds.0
-
A blast along the local canal paths and wooded areas to Leamington and then back to Warwick through Hatton Locks. Covered from head to toe in mud by the time I finished. Great fun though!0
-
A 32 mile blat around the lanes and roads on a tour of the local colliery villages. That was muddy too!
Didn't see many collies, though......How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

Swinley Forest,Blue route, with my son, great, wet , muddy fun!
Happy new year to all0 -
Hopton Woods XC course, first time there and although it's properly soaked Pearce Cycles have done a great job with the trail. Some tough climbs but some brilliant descents. I'll definitely go back when the weathers better for a dry run.
Very impressed0 -

Happy new year to all
I was at Swinley today
Never seen it so wet there, this and being on a borrowed Kona Entourage made for 'interesting' riding"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

PBW around Ogden/Hollingworth including a few cheeky sections I've not ridden before (and won't again until summer when they resemble trails and not streams).0
-
Similar to the last post, but millions of walkers and people stopping taking pictures of hills.
Nice steady 30km.0 -
Liverpool Loop Lines for a flat 26 miles on the mtb Tandem, upping the mileage with the wife ready for our 50 miler event this summer0
-
First ride of the year, plans of good climbing and grandeur over the moors taking in new terrain, ended up with 18k and aload of mud because my legs didnt want to climb.0

Shocker at Lee Quarry, couldnt get going at all, dabbing at things i have glided over previously, had an OTB on a mildly quick piece that put pay to my day, wasnt enjoying it much before then so homeward bound.
Awaiting some swelling to go down and some proper man bruises to appear0 -
Cardinham blue and red route twice (about 3hrs for both) got absolutely soaked and clipped a tree with my bars that sent me 30ft down a hill but bloody loved it and the bike was great
Was impressed with Cardinham but it's currently just over an hour for the longest route (majority blue with 2 red sections) so I'm looking forward to the next set of developments down there.0 -
Austwick Feizor route in the Dales.Guinness for strength0
