Just had an epic DH session at FOD, trails were fast and roots were dry! Whats not to like!
Been there since 10:30am and just got home now - energy levels started to drop
Loving the dry weather, Cwmcarn tomorrow I think!
Where'd you lot go?

Did a couple of runs in Claviere, Italy. Very warm, snow melting. Was out with the family so nothing to crazy but did a few jumps in the snow park.

Didn't, at least I haven't yet. I've done uni work and sorted out the mess the bike shop made of my wheel.
Yesterday I had a really nice ride over on the Marin trail though, so I'm fairly content, was nice and quiet, great views and quite a fun trail.0 -
15 miles through dense fog on the NE coast. Sacked it off after an hour as it was getting dangerous.2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)

Finished building my kula SS yesterday so went up whinlatter again (two days on the trot).
Whinlatter challenge tomorrow so back up again!0 -
Nearly went to the peak district but decided to FTD and the monkey trail at Cannock instead. The trail conditions were great today and there was hardly anyone out this afternoon.
Might go to the peaks tomorrow.0 -
85 km road ride around the trough of bowland today. Off up to wheelbase in stavley, south lakes tomorrow for their demo day. Testing a whyte, trek and a lappiare around the bridalways of Kentmere. Should be good. When you go to the ground you are in my world. My world is the ocean. I am the shark and most people don't know how to swim0

The usual trans-Chase epic, no trail left unridden, some of them twice.
Dry, sunny & t-shirts it would've been a shame not to0 -
I was going to go to Lee, but I spent all afternoon fixing and cleaning. I should get up there tomorrow.0

I rode around Holmbury Hill and Pitch Hill in the North Downs. I was a gorgeous day and nice and cool in the trees.0

To the end of my street and back.
And nowhere at all on the Turbo.

Should watch some helmet cam footage on the big screen while on the Turbo... put a few fans around you and get the mrs to throw mud and grit in your face!
Pretty much the same thing!0 -
To infinity and beyond!
or rather a hill in Surrey
(p.s. Pitch & Holmbury aren't technically North Downs :P, though strangely Surrey Hills which these are includes North Downs. ND is a chalk ridge, and Pitch/Holmbury isn't chalk. ).0 -
Pitch and Holmbury don't count as North Downs? I never realised that! Thanks for the info about my local geography.0

Yorkshire Dales round Inglebrough and Whernside. Top top day out and I really appreciated the post ride rehydration at the Reading Rooms in Clapham. 2 pints of Copper Dragon thank you and its only £2.50 a pint http://www.claphambunk.com/Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

Was supposed to be trailbuilding but discovered in the morning I couldn't be bothered, and went back to bed  So knocked out a 20 mile loop-of-loops in the pentlands when I finally managed to get out of bed. Lovely- warm but misty so a sort of mad glowing sky like someone had turned up the Bloom slider, some actual honest to god dust on the ground, and loads of happy people out.
Pretty tame stuff tbh apart from coming down the mental kids' downhill trails at the end, but still lovely. Not sure where to tomorrow, glentress mebbe.Uncompromising extremist0 -
7 hours or so around Pitch/Winterfold/Holmbury hill. What a day! And thanks to Pedal and Spoke for sorting me out with a new rear derailleur when that died halfway around, that was a ridesaver.0

Had a blast round Cwm on Friday, and put some miles in up Machen yesterday just having an explore! today is rest day as my arse is sore... :P0
-
Well I had a wasted journey to Cannock this morning, went to Stile Cop to ride some downhill but because there was a race on they had closed off all the tracks. I wasn't happy!0
-
I went for a blast round Epping with the Herts/Essex MTB lot.
Good fun with some top trails0 -
40km to a couple of laps of Richmond Park and back on the road bike. Fantastic weather! Saw some of the Team Sky riders practicing the Olympic route as well, or at least that section of it.0

A lap of glentress red, followed by a lap of glentress red. I am absolutely ruined now  But worth itUncompromising extremist0

Today i started at rivington barn and went over to white coppice via a large hill with a slabbed path.. Darwen tower looked very close from that point. Did about 15 miles in total and the weather was glorious.Papa? Nicole0

Swinley... Until some poor guy went over the bars at the jump gully and fooked himself good and proper... Ambulance and talk of an air lift... He went over the bars and landed on his head... The noises he made crashing and for the next ten minutes were a stark reminder as to why we wear helmets, buy a permit (Public liability insurance and to pay for the air lift outa there) and not do the jump gully

Yeah heard about that. Done the landing on my head, ICU trip at Swinley myself, though I never took advantage of the air ambulance, damn!
Same day, was over in Surrey Hills. Someone had done similar at the beginning of BKB and had been airlifted off. He couldn't feel his legs at the time apparently and much concern over spinal injury. Haven't heard any hard factual updates on it (a really stupid thread on STW about it that's all).
Again, hope he's okay too!0 -
