Me too
Gonna have another go (or two) later in the week, those rocky uppy bits are a pain in the ars*/shins.
Not half as much as that cobbled path! Which sadist thought of that?
I do like Kirroughtree, though.
It was the Surrey hills, for me this weekend (Pitch and Holmbury mainly) including the repeats of 'usual' trio of trails (as I happened to be passing). The top half of Telegraph Poles isn't in the best of conditions at the moment, though. How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

'Rocky Road'? That is a literal pain in the arse. I was surprised to find out later that that is part of the blue, wouldn't have fancied that a couple of years ago.Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame

Cannock Chase Follow The Dog, at the end I rode past Chris Boardman who was riding the opposite way near the car park at the end of the trail who must have just done a photo shoot (3 other people with him were walking) he even said "Nice bike" to me! (Which is fair enough I was riding a Boardman)

Yeah, I really enjoyed it apart from a couple of odd rocky bits that were awkward to ride, especially the little uphill section not long before dropping back down into the car park! And I didn't like the almost vertical gravel climb about 2/3 of the way through either, lol!0 -
Rode kirroughtree black today, halfway round I was ready to ask for my money back *fnar* too much fireroad and impossible stepups, then I got to talnotry hill, feck me what a blast. Only fell off once too, indecision on the rock steps just before hissing Sid. Nailed Sid itself and I've been buzzing all day. Going to ride the red again in the morning before heading home on Friday.
Still hacked off with all the uphill rock gardens though, can anyone ride all the way this place without having to get off and push?Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame

Local 30km only in various parks near me and bridleways connecting them. Testing the new KS Lev. Spot on, although the cable end at the lever doesn't pop back immediately when the lever is released. I think it's just the spring at the other end so I'll have a mess about with it.0

Llandegla red last night. After the horrible closures on the red a few weeks back the newly re-opened section towards the end is now improved. It is the section with the tight bends and the sheer drops, they have put a berm in on one of the bands so you can now take it at speed rather than picking your way round the corner, plus other sections have been smoothed out. I still don't like that section because of the short stabby pedally sections, but it is better than it was in my opinion.0

I don't remember any sheer drops, it has been a while since I rode it though :?
is that just before you get near to the pond?0 -
By sheer drops I meant to the side of the trail, not on it! I'm not that gnar.
Yes, just before you get to the reservoir, with all the 180 bends back on themselves.0 -

Local trails at tollymore forest, horrendous weather, the kind of day when you ride the usual stuff at half speed but you're damn glad you got to the bottom in one piece.0

Went for a local mooch, puncture 7 mile and a duff spare tube put pay to that, 2 more duff tubes back home mean 1 pised off G :evil:0

Local pedal in the rain. Passed the local womens jogging club strange how slow you pedal when there is 20 lycra clad backsides bobbing about in front of you.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

Lap of the monkey today, planned to finally do the blacks, binned it.
Not all my fault though, bars rotated forward landing the first drop, chucked me off the front. My forearms are borked now.Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame

That kind of is your fault though, unless you employ a full time bike mechanic to maintain your bike between rides for you...0 -

Gisburn full 8 including double Hully Gully, the Hope Line and finally managing the staircase in Homebaked, which now I've actually done it I realise isn't really that bad at all.0

Great weekend riding on the Quantocks - getting lost in the sea of superb bridleways and dodging weather with varying success.
Highlight of the weekend - singletrack bliss on Hodders Combe in the pouring rain, aquaplaning sideways in puddles on my hardtailCloset jockey wheel pimp whore.0 -
Rode the West Lancashire Alps otherwise known as Billinge Hill, Ashurst Beacon and Parbold Hill. A mighty oxygen busting 1700 feet of climbing.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0
