Just found Stava & uploaded my data to find that I'm "KOM" on the Jamaica Road Rumble & 3rd on "Loampit Hill" LOL :D

I would've been faster on the JRR if I'd been logging last night

Meh. My averages are nothing to write home about. It's the bit between the office near old street and blackfriars that's the PITA

I draw your attention to the morning on the 11th of august. http://app.strava.com/rides/1867909

In fact most of my best times on CS7 segments come for this one ride.

Also I tend to taper on the last few mins in both directions, warm down and all that... which affect the average time. Don't think I'm saving myself for certain sections... Well maybe Balham hill last week.... And it was first week back after 4 weeks out....

I think I'm beating you on few Embankment section as well...

    Grrrhhhh

    Watch out Monday!

I think you are falling for Wrath Ron's tactics. He's fed up of trying to compete with a man with a jammed back brake eclipsing him, so is trying to entice you into Strava war.

He may well be referring to the tactics of throwing bags at people to put them off a segment?

Would any of the haters out there like to check out today's ride? Finally broke the 20mph moving average barrier, broke 26 minutes for the commute and also including:

6th all time RH Lights to CB (a new segment to me, but someone created it)
5th all time CB to VB

    And finally:

    KoM Chelsea to Parliament Square

I don't bother with Strava for moving average as its an average, i.e. includes time waiting at lights. Connect has me at 25:59 and moving average of 20.1

Off to enjoy my kingly status :P

1 second. 1 fecking second and I know exactly where I lost it!
God damn traffic at the end of the Camberwell Sprint S-Bound meant I ended up 1 second off the KOM, had to slow up as I deployed all my filtering skillz to avoid losing any un-necessary speed. Still damn good fun :-)

KOM for me tonight. Enjoy you KOM because I'm coming to take it off you

Oh and the strava average is not door to door but moving. 19.5mph for you 21.4 for me. Strava and connect are exactly the same for me.

And Ron if you take a look at my Chelsea Dragstrip East to West which is the same as your KOM this morning but the opposite direction - I'm only 12 seconds down from your 8:08 into a ferocious headwind. If only I'd been going the other way 8) - oh and I got lights too.

    Bring it on Andrey

I'm sure if I commuted after 8:30pm I'd have a much easier run of it too

You think that's bad? I put in a storming ride this evening, was confident of a PR and possible KOM, but its measured me way off the pace - either a glitch or I got the start or finish point wrong when stuck at lights. (KOM this morning on northbound from a standing start not too shabby). Then, to add insult to injury, I went deep into the pain cave up College Road and felt like I was troubling the 3 minute mark, only for Strava to have a brain fart and fail to register me on the right road. Still work to do to reach 10 KOM's, may go in via Balham Hill tomorrow!

    Easier - ohh the irony.....

Your mamma so fat she took out all the red lights for you to get your KOM - you didn't have to stop once.*

*This makes me feel much better as despite hammering the whole section this morning I was 1.30 down but then again got stopped at 5 sets of lights, so my adjusted time would be 8.16 before accounting for speeding up slowing down.

This made me laugh almost as much as Skethcley's use of a 2 month old ride to prove his average speed is OK

And just to keep in the spirit of the trash talk, your mamma's so fat you put her at the end of the segment to get the benefits of her own, personal gravitational field.

BTW, I like the 300psi one. Made me laugh.

Not too much as there's normally way too much traffic at my commute times. I do like a good sprint up Millbank and through blackfriars tunnel though.

Had to lift once just after the Tate and the ped x-crossing near the rbt wasn't clear so had to be ready to stop. Have only got another 2-3 seconds in me at the moment though.
