Realised that I should have really just bought a frame.. since buying in August, I've had new forks, new wheels, new cranks, new shock spring, new chain guide and new saddle!

You really need to ride somewhere other than cwmcarn! Cwmcarn has to be the tamest downhill track in the country! Bike is looking nice though

Depends what route you do and what your perception of 'tame' is.
Gethin is pretty open, whereas CC is on a ledge for the most part. If you do the full black at CC its up there with the rest if you choose all the options but its easy to miss them out, I haven't done some of the drops/options at CC yet.... the red is well worn in due to the sheer number of people that ride it hence why it seems so smooth.
I'd say that the hidden local DH routes around here require more skill than the likes of Gethin/Rheola.0 -

1 big problem though, the bars are wider than the hallway from the front door, up the stairs and down the corridor to my flat... I'l going to have to widen the hallway!

Cheers mate Am really happy with it at the mo. Would like to make it lighter, but still the most weigh is in the forks and tyres lol. Currently just over 38lb.
I've had Domains before... 2009 318's I think. Loved them ever since! Yeah, they may be heavy... but they're just such a basic design and completely bombproof. They only have basic compression damping, but as a whole package they're just superb!
Miles better than the Fox 36 Vans they replaced!0 -

Done 20km xc yesterday on the beast at Whinlatter.
Went ok actually, climbs really well and comfortably and the lighter tyres did make a difference. Tyres need scrubbing in though, new tyres suck until they've worn in slightly.
Next on the list is lighter and thinner pedals.
Although the Wellgo B52's are super grippy, they're quite heavy and a tad too thick for my liking!0 -
What pedals? you seen the Dreadnought from superstar, they look ace but £90!0

was looking at the nukeproof plastic pedals (neutrons??) they're tough and have metal pins, are cheap, buy wwigh feck all!
Got a good review in MBUK too.

There pretty tough tbh, I had some but they scuffed up really easy and as im a bit of a tart I swapped to nanos.0

I can testify for the superstar Nanos too - I bought a pair for a mate who loves them... I got jealous and bought a pair for myself and I love them Pretty thin, I can feel the difference to the V8s on my Torque.
Agree as well that the Torque climbs very nicely for a small FR bike. I got it up and down Cut Gate recently without any drama.

Had the nano's on 2 bikes... They are very good yeah. Would like something lighter without having to spend £70 though!

Nah never managed to get up there, was a pretty slow ride with my younger bro for his birthday lol.

I'm on a 34t single too - I don't miss the extra gears! I'm always trying to get someone to meet at Style Cop - it's a brilliant place for DH. Knocks the socks off of Lee! Be a laugh to compare our builds 0 -

Hopefully I'll have my offset shock bushings by the next time I'm back so it should be a bit slacker too.

Had a ride round Cwmcarn yesterday with Squarepants... I freaking LOVE these nevegals!
Probably the best ride this year so far, pinned and flying! was sweeeeeeeeettttt!
