Have you tried the firm spring but with a bit of extra compression damping? May be a bit more comfortable than the extra hard spring!0 -

Yeah, I do like the extra firm suits my style of riding.0 -
Forks and wheels fitted
Need to change the spring but got them on anyway.... need to get the disks etc on the new wheelset.
Crankset to fit as well... going to be a bloody busy week0 -
should'vegonefororangehubs/10
Looks good though, not sure if I've actually commented on this one yet.0 -
hmm, yeah probably, but they don't have any rear in stock and havent for ages
Will look better with the slx crankset fitted.. the white looks out of place now.0 -
Brown Orange and white is a quality colour combo. All the best people have owned at least 1 bike with that scheme.0

Looks good Ben, you done the spring? when you wazzing crank on?
Looking at changing the colour of mine in March, maybe some saint cranks dunno yet!!0 -
That is now one really good looking bike! black/ gold works nicely, it'll be good when the slx cranks are on.0

Thanks very much fella
Thinking it needs new grips, the white Canyon ones look a bit too grubby0 -

Got to be peaty lock ons in white!0 -
Rode at FOD yesterday with a few lads, did the verderes about 10am, then DH all day until it started going dark at 4!
Forks are stunning, just soooo controlled. Don't blow through the travel, rebound adjustments seem to actually work and it floats over jumps without trying to kick me off!
Great day, legs are dead now though!0 -
-
Needs a shorter stem, and have you still not got those cranks fitted yet?!0
-
Stem is about right.. think its 50mm.. seems a bit long in the pic though lol.
Nah, couldn't get the BB off and haven't had time to have another go
couple of runs from first visit to FOD..

That stem is massive, way more than 50mm... mine on the 456 is 45mm and yours looks about twice that.
Will look stunning when you get the new cranks on.0 -
65mm c2c... just measured
And cheers... having another crack at the BB tomorrow, if not it goes LBS on thurs0 -
You got some peaty grips yet? its calling out for white blingy grips.0

SLX crankset added
Was a bit of a faff to find the correct chainline, but it seems to be sorted now.

And finally this (although not the best pic ):

Sweet, do those domains have a longer axle-crown than the foxes? Looks a little slacker (definitely a good thing).
Should have gone for the orange superstar rims though I reckon, looked much cooler with the orange! Those rims should hold up well enough though0 -
Not sure if it is any slacker, may be the pic! I've added and extra spacer to the steerer and it feel so much better for me. having that extra bit of height fits me much better!
I prefer the more understated look lol. The only reason I got the orange was because the black was out of stock!
Thinking of some offset bushings on payday to get the head angle a bit slacker still!
Good thing is I've def dropped a lb or 2, and it feels so much more balanced in the air!0 -
Yeah I'm thinking of getting some offset bushings for my slayer, the geo feels a little outdated, could do with being slacker/lower i think.0

Generic phone photo of the day....
Went up Cwmcarn this morning, Fireroad/red route up, 2 laps of the FR, then red across to where I could push up the road to the DH.
Very very very windy on the DH, one of the larger drops I got blown about a ft sideways which was a proper brown pants moment.
Met some sheep on the way down too
Vid uploading now!0 -
That looks damn good in day light! Top quality bike.0
