Yup this is the classic exit strategy and it works, however she will know what you are doing and that the call/text is fake, but this can work to your advantage as she will take the hint and not push you for date 2.

Or, here's an idea................You could just be honest and say thank you for meeting with me but I don't see this going anywhere. I doubt she will be mad, if it were me, I might be a tad disappointed but I would appreciate the honesty.

Dear Kitty and Miss Bint.

I am not a very social person, I very much like my own space.

How do i start to re-inforce this to the new lady friend, as she seems to want to see me 3+times a week, mixed in with a busy schedule this is leaving me very very little me time which to be honest is very important to me(possibly more so than her at the moment).

Its 4 weeks and she is getting me to meet the parents over sunday lunch and all sorts and i am to be honest starting feel a little stifled. How do you approach a subject where most people would be happy to have someone this into them? because i personally find it very hard to deal with

Firstly, although it is hard to bring these things up, it is very important that you are both happy in the relationship (do you call it that by the way, or is it too soon. I don't know at what point things become a relationship which is my current predicament....but yes I'm getting waylaid) so if something is bothering you, you need to sort it out. Things like this need to be ironed out ASAP for the sake of both parties! So it is good that you are looking for a solution rather than brushing it under the carpet.

Ok so, now we can talk about the issue. There are 2 types of women in relationships. There are the ones that want to be with their man 24/7 and the ones that also have their own life and while they want the security and love a relationship brings, they also want to function as an individual rather than a 'unit'.

Now, I doubt very much if she is the type of person that needs to be around you 24/7 that you will be able to change that and if you do need your space then your relationship is unlikely to last if you cannot function in this manner.

However, she may be around so much because either a) she thinks you want her to be there all the time, or b) she has nothing better to do, and feels you don't either, she may not actually need to be around you all the time. I am very much that person. I have my own hobbies and my own friends, but if for example I was injured like I was a couple of weeks back, I would spend more time with my man (if I had one at the time) because I had more time to do so being as I could not indulge in my other activities so much. It doesn't mean I want to be with him 24/7 all the time. If this is the case then there may be hope for your relationship yet

Personally, I don't mind not seeing my man for a while as long as I know when the next meeting will be. That just gives a little peace of mind and security. Try perhaps arranging to meet her again when you see her but make sure it is a while off, like 4 or 5 days down the line, so she knows she will see you again and when and she isn't just waiting on a call because that can make women paranoid and freak out a little. See how that pattern works out for a couple of weeks, if she is still putting the pressure on to meet too often for your liking, it's time to have a proper chat about stuff!

If that doesn't work it might be time for the dreaded talk!!!

Hmm i think she is sued to relationships with people who don't ahve the same sort of past times as me, or at least don't take them as seriously.

So she doesn't see the press on time, also im just anti social and like my own space alot, while i think she is the cwtch up on the couch every night kinda girl which could make it awkward.

Worst part is though i actually like her, which is rare for me as i dislike most people full stop but i can't be with out my large amounts of space...
