Hopefully two laps of Llandegla black tomorrow so will hopefully move up a little
What if your dreams and fears existed in the same place? What if to get to heaven, you had to brave hell? What if everything you've ever wanted cost you everything you've ever achieved? Would you still go there?

Middle ear blockage is making cycling highly entertaining so not going to be back on the creaky beast (bike not girlfriend that is) until it clears. :(

Oh well went to Llandegla and couldn't connect to GPS :x what a waste of time and petrol trying to rack up some miles

You can add it retrospectivly on the website.

Find out how long the laps of Llandegla are and just add them to your total with a rough time. Better than nothing I guess.

I'm currently halfway through a turbo session, although it does suck being a fair weather cyclist sometimes, I'm also very grateful for the TV.

couldn't connect to gps? Is llandegla in a nuclear bunker now to save it from snow? I knew things had changed a bit since I was last there, but that's a bit of a shocker

Set off from the carpark and checked my phone when i got to the top of the climb and 20 minutes had passed yet no distance covered, just kept saying locating satalites or something along those lines. Did get photo evidence though just incase

Today was about speed rather than distance.

Wheras I was all about the hill's.

Suppose that's what you get when you let someone much fitter than you choose the route!
Still, pretty pleased with my progress so far, 1 week down and very much on track for the 1000km this month.

Meh, only just over 100km. Been off the bike for the better part of a week. and tonight I went and sessioned the local BMX track on the Edison and learned that it's not a BMX.

I also learned that I must go down there during school hours in future to save being completely shown up by little kids

Hoping to improve that distance quite significantly this coming week though.

I was hoping you'd be much closer to me this month actually, our battle in April was lots of fun!

Struggling at the moment: don't have the use of the showers/changing facilities every day, both daughter's and wife's birthday in the next two weeks, weather's pretty crap and, after yesterday's 2 mile walk in my cycling shoes, my foot's b0rked again. :(

    But, I'll stick at it...

Well this might be a bit of good news for you then, I have a really irritating pain in my left knee, bit of an odd one actually, it's fine when I walk, run or whatever, but when I cycle I'm in agony after about an hour, it's very odd. And before you say, setup on my bike is fine for me, only thing I have changed is a new set of Eggbeaters, but I didn't change the cleats. Hmmm.

TBH, I only ride Eggbeaters for 'short' races. Find them uncomfortable, compared to Shimano ones on longer rides.

Comfort wise they're fine, I've always used Crank Brothers so just stick to what I know. Hopefully this niggle is just my body saying 'WTF is happening, you've never ridden this much ever!'

Having moved house and due to Sky being a bit lame I now don't have the net, so not only did I not get out at all over the weekend, I can't actually get onto Endomondo to upload any miles, so 3rd last month, to last this month by the looks of it, award for biggest drop!?

Shortened Mike's lead back to 12 miles or so by yesterday evening, but I'm struggling. Legs need a rest...

Whereas I feel great! Not too sure I'll have another rest day now, just need to keep plowing on, only saving grace for you is I'm not gonna go too mental because of my knee but I can still put the miles in ;-)

    Up to 4th now.
No chance of beating that so I'll try and hold 4th till the end of the month.

Shame I can't count todays "rowing" session on the way back from Llandegla

Stuart, enjoy your day in the lead, I'm working all day so can't reclaim it until this evening, but I will :-D

I was going to try and challenge you for 4th but have a horrible feeling the physio is giong to tell me to get off the bike next week as my ankle isn't improving so putting tons of miles in isn't going to happen. :( Next month hopefully..

Just tell the physio to stfu and then get on it. Failing that, ditch, head, backwards!

 He's been very supportive of mtbing so far, in fact even suggesting it's helping but we'll see what he says next week.
Loving this endmondo thing, relly makes me want to push that bit harder, been out today on my generic "Christ I ate a 16" pizza better exercise" route and actually did it nearly 20 minutes quicker than ever before (backwind helped a fair bit I think) so it's all good so far. Gonna try and nudge you off that 4th place spot regardless, it'll be a challenge for me I think.

That's what I like about this challenge. Everyone can find someone to compete with for a bit of a battle regardless of wether you are doing 1,000 miles a month, or 40.

I am, but I built this up again, so needed to take it for a test ride:
