they all started the fight and i was on here merely to buy a carrera fury but they were critiscising and privately emailing me asking for sucks
  • First of all, love the bike! I used to have a Carrera (got stolen :( ) but was hoping for more piccys.

However, this wild troll seems to be taking over and stopping any chances of that! Ah well, he's making me laugh; it's almost a comedy thread now!

  • Look Shukur,If you think our bikes are all rubbish then clear off and leave us alone.
We don't care what you think of them,I could show you a gorgeous Ibis mojo HD and you would turn your little nose up and go:
" uhhh sa pice ov sh*t cos smade a krbn fibr nd da forks'll snap krbn juslike dat yano"

If you want a decent bike go to a bike shop and ask them in ENGLISH what they would have that is suitable for your style of riding and your budget.

    Last of all:Grow up
I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.

i will echo what others have said, this thread is about getonyourbike's fury, its not some place for you to be a total tool, so grow the fark up, learn to speak proper english and get a decent idea of what a decent bike is

To get the thread back on topic. Today, I had to fix a puncture on the front wheel but I couldn't get the front qr thru axle out. I ended up with a socket that was the right size and a block of wood, bashing it out. It appears that the aluminium on the inside of the place where the thru axle goes has oxidised. So I got a bit of emery paper on it to get it back down to bare aluminium and put a bit of wd40 on it to stop it happening again. It's back to normal again now though. Has anybody else had this?

I'll get some more pitcures up on the weekend. The bar ends have gone after I broke them in a crash.

Very Nice Fury you have there 8)

I use AFC 50 grease (Corrosion Block) on my bike to stop alloy corrosion

Nope. The mushroom bit froze on mine over the winter though :P Made trying to remove the wheel to get it in the car a bit of a faff.

I'll be a bit more specific. It was the main body of the axle, as I stripped everything else off the axle and the main body was the bit that was stuck and wouldn't move. So the block of wood and the socket came out.

I use normal bearing grease on mine and never had a problem.

The bar ends have come off because I broke them in a crash and the tyres are my commuting tyres. I bought a pair of conti sport contacts 1.6" and I kept had the front washing out on mildly damp roads, resulting on me with road rash, lying in the middle of the road. So I'd rather get to school in one piece than 30 seconds faster. So I left one on the back, where the weight and rolling resistance makes the most difference and I put one of the conti speedkings on the front to keep me in one piece.

get a camelbak so you have less junk on your frame it would save alot of bike weight :D:D
(and that saddle bag/storage makes it look like a commuter's bike)

When are you going to level up that mudguard?

I don't really know how an knobbly tyre can be better than a road tyre on the road, but whatever works for you I suppose.

check the later pics, its a lot more uncluttered. I bought an oakley hydration pack a while ago, great piece of kit. Though, one bottle cage needs to stay on for the commute, it just isn't worth putting the bladder and hose in for 40 minutes each way. I'd look like a berk walking around school with the bladder and hose too

its because the compound is softer, so it grips better.

    11 pages, this is mental!
  • Looking cool. Knobbly on front and slick on back is a seriously odd looking combo though.

Maybe just try semi slicks front and back?
