ben you could always just put your foot down and say you're coming riding, or if you've got relatives down tell them to come along and check out some of wales' finest countryside and cafes while you ride

Was a great day weather held out, even seen some sun :shock: and with all the rain the night before afans track dried out very well, and made it a nice fun day, great to meet you and the rest of the lads.

hi all only just found this forum and joined up looking for people to ride with as mates don't get out often, i'm up for any meets and also can ride in the week so most days as studying in uni at the moment mature student 36 so not the fittest lol but love my bike and getting out on it, i'm also looking at doing W2 in afon at least once a week as want to train for the mega avalanche 2011 anyone here going???

no idea about this weekend, i'd love to say afan again because i've remembered how much i love the wall i'm supposed to be going out with the lads to watch the rugby saturday, but if i do that the gf will get the hump if i go out on the bike sunday cos i'm away most of next week :?

the wall is 23km and i managed it, albeit very slowly so i should be ok for the enduro, me, pr][nce and squarepants were at the back and we're all doing the 25km so we'll be ok

tbh think Kev is a little fitter than me but was a cracking ride - thanks again to Kev for picking me up etc and being such a gent about the whole thing. Nice to meet Darren and all the other lads etc. Ben shame you couldnt make it.

yikes Wentwood really is 2 weeks away :shock: Afan was a good test I reckon (hope) and like Kev said if we can do that we should be ok for WW. I'm happy to ride whereever this wkend, I can drive to either venue (as long as i can follow on ideally if we do Afan) or say two loops of Cwm? I'm easy whatever..

Hi guys,

Am absolutely brickin it, Wentwood enduro is 10 days away and i haven't ridden for 2 weeks and only been out 4 times this year.

I wanted to try and get W2 in by next week but time is running out, think i will probably ride Cwmcarn this Sunday morning, maybe set out from my place and do a loop of the Twrch trail as part of the ride.
I need to get a good 4 hour ride in my legs and then rest up ready for the the big one.

I have got a horrible feeling that 50k through thick mud in Wentwood is going to be really horrible, I rode Blaen Bran woods two weeks ago and it was really hard going.
