Yes, Muck Off works but Isopropyl Alcohol or Rubbing Alcohol works best and its alot cheaper in the long run :D

Why is your bike plugged in? Is it secretly a dyno bike? Is that why it's so fast?

looks great 8) how does it ride?

do you want a new stem? i have an aluminium one that is 120g (not manufacters weight, real weight) with bolts, 100mm long with 6 degree rise and just has one tiny scuff, and you can have it for £10 posted

Thanks for the offer but I'm good thanks... that's a 90mm, 0 degree with Ti bolts and is a machined work of art (to me) LOL... think its about 150g or so (realy weight), not the lightest but light enough ;)

Rides lovely, very light, very nimble and responsive.

Granted, ashamadly its seen more road riding than anything, however, when I took it up to the local trail, it performed lovely on the singeltrack, steep head angle is great, you're right over the front when climbing, shoots up hills, sadly I run out of steam too quickly...

As I had to sell my XTR SPDs as I have a fooked up left ankle, I opted for some new lightweight flats...

SuperStar Components NanoTechs in Gunmetal with Gold Ti axles.. have not weighed them yet but are very light.... match the cranks nicely, originally went for red, but turned out they were out of stock so bought these..... am happy with them as any more colour and the Marin will look like an explosion in the Dulux factory!!!

I was up there with a bunch of guys I know from racing, one chap was on a Genius, but the rest of us were on lightweight hardtails and XC FS bikes, I'm happy to say I'm a crap descender, and I rode everything, the other guys did a far better job than me! The Marin would be fine! Not the quickest down hill, but I'll bet it'd be faster over the whole route than a burlier bike!

Nice saddle, always liked the Aspides.

Yep - I love the Aspide - its comfier than it looks with a decent liner short on. I don't suffer from the 'bruised arse' that I got from my other race saddles.

Also, you dont see many of them around (well, I havent) and it's very light... 150g (ish) - not the lightest but I got a stupidly great deal on it...... (£95 down to £30) so I just had to..... ;)

Earlier on in the post (page 2 I believe) you said and I quote " Never would Gray be seen on any of my bikes " but hey I quite like the Gray pedals :wink:

    Slow typing there!

I'm tempted to get an Aspide now, always got on with them on the road, never tried one on the MTB. SLRs and Toupes don't last long enough.
