2009 Marin Team Issue Race Redux (Page 16)

The only Team Issue frame in the UK. Originally meant for one of the German Marin Team, however it ended up at Mike Cookson cycles (as a frame only option, which is a one-off in itself) so was snapped up sharpish by my bad self. My credit card nearly caught my wallet alight it was pulled out that quick. All information was provided by ATB sales (I rang them to register it, and to get the history of it) Then custom built it to race-spec. I hope you like it as much as I do. Absolutely cracking (and really light).
Exactly how I wanted it, with Cherry picked components and a whopping credit card bill.

Not eveyones cup of tea but very lightweight and comfy (yet to test them properly over a few hours riding)
The blue of the forks is not far off the frame so lucked in there methinks and got a really good price on them too0 -
It's not the style of the grips, it's the colour, looks much darker than the frame (of course, it could just be the photo making it look that way).
Either way, you've got a contender for Best looking bike of 2010 there.0 -
Cheers dude, lots of competition this year though LOL
Yeah, they are more of a purple than blue, was thinking white originally but get way to filthy!!! Used to have white on the Indian Fire Trail, and could never get them back to white post-ride0 -
Congrats!! Very nice 8)

Just finished building it that's why it's clean!
hasn't been ridden yet, and wont be until I get some pedals0 -
Tis lovely! I agree on the grips though, black versions would look better but if you're happy 8) one small fault for an amazing overall build0

+1 on the grips.
Defo go in for some black grips. Less blingy, but unless you can get an EXACT colour match (like your forks and frame - so close, it may as well be) it looks mis-matched.
Still, props on an AWESOME build!

PS - photo's of it caked in mud are REQUIRED. If not, I'll steal it off ya, and thrash it for yaBoo-yah mofo
Sick to the power of rad
Fix it 'till it's broke0 -

You've nailed it mate. Grips are just slightly the wrong colour, that would annoy me but you can't argue with it. Stunning bike.0

I don't like to brag...0 -
really nice. the forks look great with the frame.
as much as i don't care much about cosmetc things on a bike, for a bike worth that much the grips should be changed to a different colour0 -
cheers for all of the comments guys, nice to know my work is appreciated.
Really is my 'dream build' and officially worth more than the car!!!!
Cost a fortune, but a small price to pay for something that will always put a grin on my face
Shall see about the grips, its the flash that makes them appear darker, in reality they are not that far off...... next ones WILL be black though0 -

Black is the way to go.0

This is gorgeous!! A real work of art! Just needs to get really dirty now!!
I like the white grips too, but your right, you can never get them proper white again.
Great build!!0 -
Sweeeeeeet looking bike! 8)
The cables/hoses look a bit untidy though....can't you shorten them a bit?0 -
Oh...and how about some white brake hoses too...you know you want to :P0

TBH the gear cables are as short as they can be withouth restricting the bars in their extremes of movement.
The brake hoses could do with being cut down, maybe I will at some point, just not yet0 -
Get it muddy!
Looks very nice but chuck it down some muddy singletrack and rocky trails.0 -
Hopefully christening it in 2 weeks at Blean.
bed her in and all that, gotta wait till I can order my new shoes though.0 -

I couldnt see them, stick them up again!0 -
They both looked good. But on account of the fact the white grips would be a grey-brown after about 3 rides I'd go for the black ones.0
