the best looking bike was aarded according to the forum awards which took place in december, of the folk who voted, this was the most popular.
that said, whats the difference between this frame and the IFT?0 -

Weight, geometry and hurdoforming and material
Actually quite a lot now I think if it
oh and cost more. Don't they always.0 -
are you sure its not just the paint job?
it looks the same, both made from scandium enriched alu, both have the same shaped tubes.0 -

No, the 'current' IFT looks the same, but has less scandium in the frame, weighs more (cant remember how much), and the tubing cross section isn't the same as the team issue. I looked into it when I spoke with ATB before I bought it.
I made it my business to find all of that out0 -
seems strange to make a bike available to the team which isnt available to the public, whats the point.
either way, its ace looking.0 -

Oh you can buy the team issue only in the US though, retails at $4800 though.
They don't sell them in the UK for some reason :?
Which is a shame, sure lots of people would like one!0 -

I wouldn't count on it.0 -
i do like your bike.
My view on the grip issue is in the photos they look slightly darker than the forks and they look slightly darker than the frame, that imo makes it all look subtly toned. 8) .
Looking forward to seeing it all muddy and usedfly like a mouse, run like a cushion be the small bookcase!0 -

No I havent, pedals only turned up this morning, and now I am sans saddle until I get a refund on my brand new SLR Fibra carbon (which won't fit into the Sumo clamp) dammit.
Shall be out as soon as new saddle turns up0 -
What are you gonna do about the seat? The SLR Ti is the same weight as the fibra (135g caimed), albeit with ti rails instead of carbon (it also comes in blue). They're standard shaped rails though, not oversized like the carbon, so should fit your USE post.0

Sending it back later, may go for the Ti version, if they have standard 7mm rails, the carbon are 7x9mm hence wouldnt go into SUMO clamp0 -

Thats a shame carbon rails don't work for you as you could have gone light

I abit scared to use it as its looking far more painful than the advert0 -
Thats not even that light though?0

LOL! I was looking at pic 1 and i thought "WTF??? his chain is rusty!"0

Rusty chain!!!!!!!!0 -
Maiden voyage today, BUT only for a 2k road ride (currently don't have any SPD shoes, so was using the platforms clipped in tothe XTRs)
I must say I am really happy, unbelievably fast and nimble, made my IFT 'heavy' in comparison and that was only 20lbs....
Loving the X0 shifting, now know why I converted from XTR, the Elixirs carbons are faultless but feck me they are powerful....
Gear set up was spot on, and the KCNC wheels and the KMC chain have made a top-notch drivtrain even better.
Can't wait to get iton some singletrack at blean soon...0
