Nice, but no thanks fellas. My front wheel cost more than the pair of those!!! I know what I want and I don't mind paying what it costs to get it (when I have it spare anyway).

Can I direct your attention to the Facebook group for a moment.

Click on the 'Discussions' tab and have a gander at 'The List'. I'm trying to get together a list of the places that people want the group to visit.
We have May sorted, Dave Frost and I have been talking about doing one in his neck of the woods in July so get your passports ready and make sure you've had your shots because you'll be heading South of Watford Gap.......
Where for June? Well we've had Gisburn mentioned a few times on the forum. Can I ask those who know the area if there is enough riding there to keep us entertained for a full day....?1998 Marin Hawk Hill

Anyone who was riding within 3 miles of me at the weekend will no doubt be delighted to hear that while the rear wheel is at the shop being put back together (again), I have changed the brake pads.
The leading edge of the inner pad was very nearly almost level with the backplate but the outer pad is still almost as thick as the new ones I have replaced them with.
Is this normal.....?1998 Marin Hawk Hill

If they're hydraulic one of the pistons is probably sticking or the caliper isn't centred correctly. They should wear pretty much evenly.
If they're mechanical they want adjusting.0
