All, that was the best/hardest ride I've ever had. Thanks to Cheshley for the thread, and Rotti for the lift, Thanks to u all for being cool.

Chesh, did u get round the second time? Did u see that lovely burger again?

Yeah, did the second loop in 2hrs 10 mins. Me n Dan stuck to the Red while Paul and Simon went on the Black.

And there was NO WAY I was going to part with that lovely burger :D

A combination of excellent riding, great company and warm, sunny weather made it a fantastic day out.

What a great set of people, realy enjoyed the ride, the company and the downhill / black routes

I hope the newcomers to the group had a good time and will ride with us all again.

    .

The 3 of us had a great time we'll definately try to get out next time, the only problem being I struggle to get away on Sundays and my mates work alternate weekends so if it drops right we'll be there.

See you all again ..... all being well

P.S great pics and video well done :)

I think I'll do a skills course and this mtb marathon in July, then make a decision on my future MTB riding.

Caz, don't get too down, go the doctors and get some anti-biotics, you did better than me on one lung, I had such a good day I'm sorting out a training schedule so I'm not as slow next time! Who decides when and where?

I struggled to go fast on the open rocky downhill section (where all the trees were cut down) but on the rest of them the sensation of speed through the woods was great and if I glanced down to just in front of my wheel I kept being amazed at what I was going over. I'm not sure it would be so much fun on a wet day though!

After Saturday's ride at Llandegla I was asked by a couple of people to issue the following POLITE NOTICE

People don't mind helping other riders out, but please make sure that you are carrying the basic tools and spares that you might need whilst out riding. Imagine what you would need if you were out on your own and that's what you should be carrying on every ride. On a vaguely related note, please also remember that if you do need to beg a spare part off someone else, etiquette dictates that you pay to replace it.

I don't intend posting a list of stuff to carry, there are plenty of threads on this forum that cover this topic, but if you're new to riding and aren't sure what should be in your pack, feel free to ask.

This has been a public information announcement posted by request.

    Thanks for listening.

    NEXT RIDE

The more observant among you will have noticed that the title of the thread has changed again.

Our next group outing will be to Cannock Chase on Saturday 15th May. This ride will be led by Kangaroo who will (hopefully) be confirming our meeting/parking arrangements in due course.

    Bring it on.

Have a good one guys, I won't be able to make this one as the driver will be (hopefully) having his operation on the 10th so I can't get there.
I DEMAND pics and vids a plenty though :D

GUTTED !!!! Missed the peaks ride because i was working the day it was on. Missed the llandegla ride because i was working the friday night into the saturday morning the ride was on and i can't make the ride coming up at cannock because my mrs is working and i'm on kiddie watch. Shame it's not on the sunday, fingers crossed i will make it to one of the rides in the near future after cannock. You will have a blast at cannock, i've been there a few times and i love the place.

    This.

Found the group based on everyone's positive comments about the peak district ride. Joined the Facebook group. Couldn't make the Llandegla ride due to other commitments and now can't make the next one as it is the same day as my black belt grading...

Hopefully, I can make the ride after Cannock.
