    Executive Decision

I was hoping someone with local trail knowledge would arrange and lead but I suppose Llandegla is marked trails so a leader isn't really needed.

On this basis, our next outing will be to Llandegla on Sunday 11th April 2010. I have based this on my own availability

    Comments....?

  • Ok will do!

I've been watching this thread as it seems its directed at the slower rider (like me!) correct me if i'm wrong !

I did try to arrange a slower ride at Cannock last year on here but got abuse from other members saying it would upset other riders by clogging up the trails etc. so i never followed it up but from reading this thread it seems to have gone well

11th April is my last day of leave, leaving it late for me to get back to Essex. But it isn't impossible.

Hi all, sorry for jumping on the thread....

I was just wondering what state the trails are like on the route you did over the weekend?are they all rideable? I've looked at the pics and some of the route looks dryish and some of it looks muddy.

The reason I'm asking is that I was up on the North Yorks Moors today and 50% of the route was still deep in snow. I'm looking to do a ride on Saturday and was thinking the Peaks were a good place as any.

    Any help appreciated, cheers.

There can be a ride whenever someone makes the decision to arrange one mate, but nobody was making that decision.

Most of it was fine mate. There were the occasional really muddy section but I would say it was pretty much all wet but rideable

Llandegla is it then, it's the best if you don't want crowding by other riders as the first climb splits out the riders in to fast and slow before you hit the good stuff.
I might even try the Black this time, I've done the blue and red before and managed it all apart from one climb called Double steep (it is) and the log ride :d

double steep is one of the worst climbs on there, and that boardwalk is terrible, ive not met anyone who likes it yet

I've done Llandegla black runs twice and everything is rollable (good job with me!)

    Llandegla it is.

I'll leave the date as either 10th or 11th of April for the next couple of days to see what people have to say on the subject and a decision will be make by the end of the week.

llandegla trails do have the benifit that at the top of climb we could if split and go down different trails, though its always better to stay together

the blue route is ok but can be done in under 3/4 of an hour

black and red are both very good trails, we could do all 3 and still be under the miliage we did on sunday

though of course with a cafe stop in between each one

I'd probs do the black once, then go play on the skills area, I really need to learn how to do berms and little jumps, I'm very ground bound
