Was wondering if the crazy downhill section that a few of us did had a name? Trying to find peoples vids on youtube, but it just isn't happening.0

i wish id had enough energy to come up and do that trail, i really like the downhill stuff
it made a huge difference to me to have large tyres and flat pedals on, i could just fly down those descentswhat are brakes for again0 -
I was poo on the decents and uphills ....I had never ridden some of the stuff I rode yesterday, It scared me a bit to be honest, bit It was all good though

Well as far as I know It doesn't.
I'm not sure as to how many people have ever bothered to descend that path. I found that from a walk I did with the family and incorporated into a ride we did on a previous tuesday night ride- somethings are best kept quiet some times as it could become ruined.
Though I'm glad you thought it was worth the trek to get to itI'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

Know it well. There's no actual MTB name for it.We generally use is as a climb to get to the more techy downhills so its just the Edge Farm climb to the Roman Road to us, or we sometimes come down it on night-rides 8)
Most of the stuff around there has a MTB name but that's not one of them :roll:0 -
Is that the descent I wimped out on that we split up on?

It was well worth the ride! Even though my eyes were steaming lol I could barely see the line I was taking lol0

http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Po ... group-ride
elevation profile is there(roughly)
Total climb: 1053m(3454ft) Total descent: 1046m(3431ft) According to the original route map.0 -
Yeah refering to the route on page 4 it differed as to how we met up with the road in Edale . Insted of going back on ourselves we carried on to the farm and down that narrow path to join the road . Apart from that pretty much done as shown.I'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

some how we defied the laws of physics, cause we climbed more than we descended and we started and finished at the same placewhat are brakes for again0 -

I seem to remember reading early on in the thread that someone mentioned Cutgate? If anyone fancies it in a few weeks let me know and i'll be happy to guide 8) Its an absolute classic but an out-and-back as opposed to a loop.0
