Was about 23ish miles, took about 6 hours. The ground conditions were sucky in places but it was still fun!
  • Photobucket is playing up, it's taking forever to download piccies :(

great ride, i still ache though. nice picys you lot of put up great work.

i must remembe next time, to make sure i have my energy bars/gels with me, if it wasnt for caz and the famous haribo, i would have been energy less about 3/4 of the way around, it gave just the boost to do a bit more

so a BIG thanks to caz

saying that my energy had gone by the last track along side the resivior back to the car, i had to call for a chocolate bar and a dink befoe i made it up to the car park

    so whens the next one
if you ever want to do cannock chase i already have a route from the last forum ride up there, i would change it a bit though, probably to include phase II if its open by then

Phase II supposed to be open at Easter I think, which would be the weekend after March 28th.

My legs are a bit achey today but not too bad. Just spent an hour outside cleaning the bike off although I've not stripped it down fully. Brake pads still need taking out as they still sound a bit gritty and the chain is soaking in a bottle of parafin.

I hope we can keep this going, although I think some hilly interval training is in order...

im thinking of putting all the photos of the day together in the window live group skydrive, it can hold gb's of stuff with a max file size of 50mb
so you could upload your full size images there

    here is the link
    https://cid-00096ece68862588.groups.sky ... px/.Photos

i cant remember if youve joined the window live group yet or not

id say upload them to the face book group as well, but it takes for ever as you can only do 4 at a time

Legs aching, discovered a few nice bruises from my wipe out and surprised how much my shoulders are aching, I guess due to the bumpy downhill sections. There was a period about two thirds through that felt like hell but we were nearer the end than I realised. Other than that, all was good. I am still chuckling to myself about how red faced I am on the pictures. Cannock sounds like a good idea.
