I might be there - it's just down the road for me, so is something of a regular haunt.

Sorry guys but can't make this one, I've been told (by her who must be obeyed  ) it's too near Barbados time to be having any "accidents"

and to make things worse I'm going to miss the Dalby Forrest ride as well :x :x

  • Sadly We'll not be able to make it :(...I feel too grotty to come for a weekend and it's a long way for just one ride :(
Sorry peeps, I'm not very sociable at the moment

Well, I might be there I might not, but if I am I'll probably have my camera with me. If I see you guys (or you see me!) then I'll try and take a few shots for you guys if you'd like.

At the moment, after watching the Red Bull Rampage last night, I have a hankering to head to the quarries and go a bit nuts this weekend

Don't hold your breath guys, I've just found out I'm working Saturday morning.
I may still be around though, look for the guy on the wolfridge, with a camera tripod in his camelbak.
What routes are you guys doing?

We'll keep a look out for ya! Not 100% decided about routes yet but probably:Temtiwr on the Friday afternoon, Tarw and/or mbr on the Saturday and a bit of each on the Sunday morning.

How do you like your Wolfridge? Looks good in the pic!

Absolutely loving the wolf ridge, thanks :D . Does exactly what I bought it to do. Get up hills at a steady pace, then blast back down them as if I've just realised I'd left the cooker on!

I was going to suggest that you do the Tarw and MBR, Beast, or Dragon's back, since the Tarw is a totally seprate trail, whereas the others share a great deal between them - but I see you have that covered

We was at CYB a month or so ago but didn't do Tarw, so its got to be done this time. Glad you like your Wolfridge. Heard nothing but good things about them apart from being a bit on the heavy side.

    Thread Title Change

As much as I enjoy all of our days out, this is the one I've been wanting to do for a long time.

A SLOW ride around the Red route at Dalby. I've been before but only ridden the back half of the red route and I know that there are a few tetchy bits that I don't like and have walked before, but I've been taking my brave pills and have been riding stuff locally that I've always thought twice about so I hope I ride more of it this time and I will be looking for tips from those of you at the front so don't get too far ahead :)

Start time will be 10am at the visitor's centre. Entry into the forest costs £7 per car so sharing is encouraged as much as possible.

Although this ride might allow the faster riders to go off the front because the route is marked, I would like the Slow Rides idea to be maintained and people to not be left behind if at all possible. Thanks

No worries. Another time, maybe. I'm pretty certain we will be returning to CYB sometime soon.

    Dalby Details

Starting at 10am from the visitor's centre. If you don't know where you're going, ask. Don't forget that it costs £7 per car to get into the forest.

    Looking forward to it :)
