Videos are excellent. What camera did you use?

The camera is a Drift x170.
  • ROO,

    Have you or any of you guy's got the complete route you did on Saturday, from watching the Vids I think you went;
Hope - up Pindale - up Dirtlow Rake - along the top track to the road at the top of Winnats Pass, around to the start of Rushup Edge and then along the road to pick up the bridleway to Mam Tor, down from Mam Tor on the left hand bridleway to Edale, back along the Edale to Hope road and picked up the bridleway around the back of the farm and then up to the Beast via Jaggers Clough and Hope cross, down the Beast, you just love that Roo :) then along the track beside the ressy to the dam, where did you go after that?
  • Great vids and nice camera
Looked a lot more intresting then working nights that weekend it had to be the most boring one for a long time at work. it felt like 36 hrs at work but around 20 hrs of sat/standing around waiting for bread to pick

im not sure of the exact route, but heres rajans gps
    http://redirectingat.com/?id=92X1020&xs ... art%3D4460

looking at the map we split from rajan just before the 13m marker and went up the hill back towards hope cross, then about a 1/4mile before hope cross we took a left down the hill to hope and came out just east of 18 bikes if that helps

Come along mate, the pace is easy, the ones at the back (me usually) get waited for and we have a good laff along the way.

I will come on one of your rides but not Cannock this weekend as its my brother in laws wedding saturday so dont think i'll be in any fit state to ride a bike

I was thinking of maybe going out on the 4th September (not definate yet), have you got anything planned for that weekend??

I was thinking of maybe going for a lap at Llandegla and including the masts ascent & descent and then going for a belly busting lunch at the cafe

Yeah, that's pretty much it Mike. From the path alongside the Res we went (walked) steeply up through the woods on the North side of Win Hill, turned right at the top towards Hope Cross and then back down the old Roman Road to the road and back into Hope. I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I had to walk a good amount of the route!!!!!

Some of the guys are at Llandegla on Wednesday, the next official Slow Ride after Cannock is Lee Quarry on 19th September but if you want something specific arranging let me know and I'll create a FB Event for it and see who replies.

Just using Windows Movie Maker at the moment. For some reason Youtube squashes them as they work fine on my PC in correct aspect ratio. I'll have a bit more of a play and see if I can make them a bit better.

i found the problem with windows live movie maker. if its the same go to tools then options and change the aspect rato there

but if its playing fine on your pc, its might be a different problem

You know, you're right. They play fine on winamp etc unedited, but I've opened up a project and forced the aspect ratio change and have no border on top or sides now. Would have thought it would recognise the format filmed in.

Cheers for the tip. I'm going to re-upload them all now

Thanks Rich, by the way you ever tried Sherwood Pines, almost on your doorstep and whilst not technically challenging it does flow nicely has some rather interesting and more technical downhhill stuff on which to practice and more importantly very few hills

Yeah, I've been there a few times Mike. It's one of my main issues with trail grading that it's shown as a RED route. The only tricky climb was 'repaired' last year and became so wide and flat that you can get a bus up it.

It is pretty flowing in places but the lower parts of the forest hold a lot of water and can be 6 inches deep in mud when the rest of the trail is bone dry. Very short as well, need to have a couple of laps to make it worthwhile.

Good idea for a blast around tho, I might have a wander down next week :)

just a quick note to remind anybody coming this sunday that we will not be doing the monkey trail or ftd. it will be a day of top notch natural trails, roughly 20 to 24 miles in length.
also remember we will be leaving birches valley at 10am so please come early and meet outside the cafe there

Was a great ride today! Bike ended up the dirtiest its been all year yet it didn't seem particularly muddy on the trails.
Elbow is fine thanks Tammy, its my hip that's bruised more to be honest.

Zepper this is the group for you! I was struggling to find the motivation to get out on my own but since heading out with these guys I've been out at least once a week, much more fun with friends!
