    Congrats Prawny - nice work.

Well, I've now taken the leap and sold my car.

It's been sitting in the garage collecting dust during the week, so we're now a single car family. That means the only way I can get to work is using pedal power. Paying bills should keep me motivated to MTFU whatever the weather :)

You;re gonna need a second bike then, otherwise, like porgy you'll be bikeless! Run a small fleet  and you'll always have something servicable.

nah, back in action and reporting for duty

It was a bloody hard one tonight, got dropped twice arround the inner circle at Regents Park, and then followed two nutters who insisted on racing all the way back to Lewisham. My legs still don't feel like they're attached to my body

Should we all be worried that Greg T hasn't posted any figures for a while?

Closing in on my target nicely. If I bike it every working day to the end of the month, that'll be 1Km (one kilomile)

Whether I reach my revised target is very much in the balance given that I've got Christmas off and so no commuting.

True, but I've got three days out of the office until then and at least one beery night where two journeys won't be possible. So, that's four days' commuting in effect. I'm presently working on a cunning plan to get me out of the house for a couple of days when I'm not stuffing my face over Christmas.

I want word with you matey, someone had some miles up their sleeve that knocked a certain mutt down a place didn't they  That led to someone taking the highly dubious decision to get on the bike this morning and get soaked

We shall be having words on Friday

It's part of the pyschological battle that I'm clearly winning.

A man of your years has to be careful, you know. You''re obviously looking to pile on the miles, but this weather will take its toll on your immune system. You'll risk getting a cold/getting ill as a result, and even more time off the bike, which means you'll be pushed to desperate measures. Like this morning.

Anyway, I'll let that steep.

  • Hurrah!!

4th in the November list to date :

BUT going to miss my overall Nov target by a long way. The injury at the beginning of the month has put paid to any dreams of a 1000 and even my 940 is looking remote now as I've got a lot of meetings over the next few days so I'll be lucky to break 900 to be honest.

Why does work get in the way of riding??

    My bikes still buggered :(

Now I'm waiting for a new back wheel - should arrive about Tuesday/ Wednesday this week.

Then I might be making a limited come-back.

Riiiight. But the table I was looking at yesterday was sorted by YTD and the ten people above me all had greater YTD figures. Only 9 above me on YTD today. Who's missing?

    Huh??

The main list shows only those with an update date / time >= (Now() - 3 weeks). Simon Aspinell's last update was 02 November 15:35, so as of 15:36 he's a doomed man, until or unless he pops back to add another bunch of miles.

    My heart bleeds for you
How often does it rain on you?

Eight times a year seems a little optimistic, even for London.

I'm pretty happy with the monane featherlite pants that I got after reading through a thread here. (I think it was LiT who suggested featherlite)

Showerproof enough to make the rain a little less annoying

Rich158 thanks dude, me and the good lady are starting to put together a training plan for our first Tri

Not looking forward to the swim but the run and cycle should be a walk in the park, pah! 35km cycle 7km run - I laugh at the silly European measurements.

I've given it a thought, the cycle and run are easy, but I swim about as well as a fish could ride a bike
